Idaho celebrates the 40th anniversary of the Sawtooth National Recreation Area this year. The SNRA was created as an alternative to a national park to protect the south central Idaho destination spot. The area includes Redfish Lake, one of the most popular camping and recreation choices for Idahoans. Look for more photos Sunday in a photo gallery.

Making A Splash
Submitted by Darin Oswald on Sat, 04/28/2012 - 6:50pmThe famous "rooster tail" water discharge from Lucky Peak Reservoir attracted a horde of admirers Saturday April 28, 2012 east of Boise. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers manages the discharge with a flip bucket that directs the spray more than 150 feet into the air which dissipates the erosive force of the water as it enters the Boise River. The rooster tail can be seen again today starting at 11 a.m. through 7 p.m. Check out a quick VIDEO
