We’ve heard from a handful of people who miss having an avatar — they consider it part of their “signature.” Our friends at the Anchorage Daily News newspaper passed along a way for you to add an avatar to your Statesman account, using Gravatar. Gravatar is a web site that allows you to attach an avatar to any account on the Internet based on the e-mail address you use for accounts. I must admit to becoming a bit tired of the negativity - would it really be that hard to share your point of view without attacking someone in the process? I don't anticipate any immediate changes (sorry pimp2) except that we intend to block repeat offenders much more quickly in the past. The best thing readers can do to help improve your reading experience is to ignore the trolls. If you respond, you are giving them what they want - attention.
