Broncos' Taylor to redshirt; Two Vandals earn WAC honors
Submitted by Brian Murphy on Mon, 10/05/2009 - 10:36am.1:52 p.m. — Boise State cornerback Jamar Taylor will redshirt this season after missing the first five games, Broncos' coach Chris Petersen said Monday.
Taylor had knee surgery to repair a tear in his meniscus earlier this year, Petersen said. Taylor, a sophomore, played in all 13 games as a true freshman in 2008. He had 24 tackles and one interception.
Petersen said Taylor might have been able to play against UC Davis on Saturday, but the emergence of Jerrell Gavins gave the Broncos enough depth at cornerback to redshirt Taylor.
