Big Sky boss: Idaho likely to be member in 2014-15

Big Sky Commissioner Doug Fullerton said Wednesday it is likely that the Idaho Vandals will join his league in all sports beside football for the 2014-15 season.

"We're down to the last two sentences in our agreement," Fullerton said.

Notre Dame will move its non-football sports from the Big East to the ACC, the latest move in an on-going conference realignment shuffle that has had an impact on nearly every conference in the country.

Notre Dame will remain independent in football, but will play five ACC games each season.

Kristin Armstrong's Olympic bikes stolen en route to Boise

The bikes that Boise cyclist Kristin Armstrong rode in the 2012 London Olympics have been stolen. Armstrong received two empty bike boxes at her Boise home Tuesday.

High school coach to lead Idaho Stampede

Michael Peck, who coached the No. 1 high school team in the country over the last five years, will be the Idaho Stampede head coach in 2012-13, the Portland Trail Blazers and Idaho Stampede announced Tuesday.

Boise State offensive coordinator takes blame for Broncos' poor showing

Boise State first-year offensive coordinator Robert Prince took some of the blame for the Broncos' poor offensive performance against Michigan State. The Broncos failed to score an offensive touchdown for the first time since 1997 in a 17-13 loss to the Spartans.

Boise State football lands commitment from California running back

Eastlake (Chula Vista, Calif.) High running back/safety Aaron Baltazar has committed to Boise State, he told the San Diego Union-Tribune. The Idaho Statesman confirmed the commitment with Eastlake coach John McFadden.
