The "my bad" expression has been around awhile, and I think it is more of a "topical" apology...Kind of like a topical anesthetic. It's there, but probably not as deep as it should really be. More appropriate would be "I sincerely apologize for my error. My mistake was due to my lack of understanding and/or lack of sensitivity regarding the topic at hand." You know, like you hear from freearth, twolf, ranger, apetolla and the rest of the "Wow, I blew it!" crowd.

Remember David Spade's routine on SNL as a flight attendant insincerely saying "buh bye" repeatedly to the exiting passengers? It's kind of the "my bad" of farewell greetings. :-)

A couple of things....... Inherently, polygamy isn't a choice of sexuality, but one of marital lifestyle. Interesting that you do state polygamy IS a matter of sexuality. Multiple marriages among adults doesn't bother me, but systematic sexual assault bothers me a lot. Polygamy is an excuse for pedophilia in many cases here in America. Just because the young females EVENTUALLY turn 18, doesn't make it less true.

This would be a converse fallacy of accident (also called reverse accident, destroying the exception, or a dicto secundum quid ad dictum simpliciter). This is an argument going from a special case to a general rule (e.g., Every apple I have seen is red, so it must be true that all apples are red..) You're implying that since some pedophiles are homosexuals, all homosexuals are pedophiles. It's a bad argument...flawed...invalid...unsubstantiated...need I go on?
It is hard to believe that you might actually make that connection.
