Do any of you remember what I said when the Woves were first delisted? All of the killing started and I said they'll be listed again soon.
I would say the wolf killers "shot themselves in the foot".
Now it goes back to secret killings.

I am not sure I understand what you are saying? They are talking about delisting the wolves again they already are listed on the endangered species list.
Sahnnoncheri.. I know it's early, but the article says they're backing down on "delisting"... meaning they are not going to push for de-listing...meaning they will continue to be listed on the endagered species list.
To add to that, at one time they were delisted and then all the killing started. Now a judge decided they needed to be re-enlisted, and studies needed to be done on weather or not the wolf would be killed off again.

if there are too many wolves, not enough wolves or just the "right" amount. Not particularly concerned with livestock loses. Seems to me wolves were here long before cattle and sheep. Meddling by humans has done little good for natures creatures. Every time we "fix" one situation we create a disaster for some other situation we didn't understand. Ban killing grey whales, now they're starving. Species come and go and we really have very little control. In my old age, I find myself siding with the tree huggers more often than not. I spent a lifetime hunting, but I gave it up 10 years ago. Not because I didn't enjoy it anymore, I gave up hunting because I couldn't stand being around other "hunters."

I will be implementing the Triple S method starting NOW.

I can't believe Wyoming screwed this up.
Idaho's big game hunters will be taking this into their own hands this fall that is a guarantee.

Did you actually just threaten my life on a public message board? I thought I was only dealing with ignorant poachers, but I guess there are murderers on here as well.
Submitted by hybriddog on Wed, 09/17/2008 - 9:44am.
Well, I used to be a Hunter. Know all we can do is Poach. Nothing else to Hunt. Maybe I can bring food for the wolves with me. They will need something to eat soon. Maybe they can poach some people.
I never saw a problem with hunting until they introduced this Virus. We are just medicine Men. Just like it's been done for centuries. put a box around your life and stay there for the rest of us.

You must not have been very good, because I find plenty of things to hunt, all over the state. Apparently you think breaking the law for kicks is okay. Nice morality. You are so far away from being a medicine man that it is scary. I don't need to box myself in; the lovely state of Idaho is my home.
Submitted by hybriddog on Wed, 09/17/2008 - 10:45am.
I can tell you need the last word. so I leave you with this. It never was your state, it never was my state. But someone will get to control this State. And when it get over controlled we can complain even more. I Don't Poach, and I don't Kill wolves. But when you see Huge Beautiful Deer and Elk with thier throuts ripped out, and wasted for a good hunt, it seems like a waste. If a hunter killed without harvesting I would be the first to report to fish and game. But, the rules have changed. the only one that remain are the road hunters. Wolves don't go near roads. They are at 8500+ feet with the big kills.

That's funny because you wolf activist all seem to be from Connecticut or some other far off place so I am not sure how you would ever see me in the back country. Stay in your stinking filth ridden urban center and leave Idahoans to manage our own species please.
Have a nice day.

That is funny, because I am not a wolf activist, but a biologist, and I am a third generation Idahoan. I graduated from Boise High, just like my father and his father before him. I have seen plenty of the Idaho back country, have hunted much of it, and I love it. I also understand the balance within nature that is so fragile and has been so messed up by humans. I want the whole ecosystem to be healthy, not just a few select species. I think that poaching is one of the most disgusting things that hunters can do.
let me fly over an scout them out for ya. then I'll turn you in. cretin.

Blind loyalty to bad leadership IS NOT patriotic!
I wonder if Sarah Palin also thinks of urban areas as "filth ridden?" I'd bet she does and that smacks of racism. This needs to come out in this election!
There are many of us all over the U.S. who support native predatory animals such as wolves, coyotes, etc. These animals have been unfairly and illegally persecuted by livestock industry lobbyists.
The cattle industry accuses wolf "lovers" of using D.C. lobbyists -- What a bunch of good ol' boy HYPOCRITS. The cattle industry has 1000's of D.C. lobbyists who DAILY USE TAX DOLLARS FOR THE KILLING of our NATIVE predatory animals since 1900. (that could be their motto)
This dirty sleazy game is being EXPOSED and will soon be over -- forever.
And we are not going to give up our fight -- EVER.

No burgers. Cat food instead. My cats eliminted all the mice on my property. Would you believe me if I told you they killed the mice and did not eat them. They were full. But know they have nothing to eat.

Seems to be a case of special interest group against special interest group. Seems the one mostly favored by the writers has lost this round. If you want to grab Ron Gillette and join the other group at the den.

I'm sure Idaho Fish and Game wanted federal money. They knew they could get the money and create more when they control the hunting of the wolves later on.

You are probably right, and it is a win-win situation for them. Improve the ecosystem and increase revenue so that they can continue managing the fish and game of the state.
Submitted by hybriddog on Wed, 09/17/2008 - 9:33am.
Kind of like a Cop that sells drugs. He can increase Revenue so that he can buy more drugs. them arrest some when he can't manage the flow of outside drugies
Submitted by hogpappy on Wed, 09/17/2008 - 9:42am.
Your analogy is one of the worst I have ever heard. A cop selling drugs is breaking the law. The Fish and Game managing wolves is not against the law. Healthy ecosystems need large predators to weed out the sick and aged animals. Was that simple enough, or do I need to use smaller words?
Submitted by hybriddog on Wed, 09/17/2008 - 11:02am.
I know your smarter than me. That's the difference between us. You think your smarter than everyone. Good Luck.

I don't know -- love your comments....
I loved your comment -- :) with age comes WISDOM.
They keep tinkering with nature.... nature does not need man's interference.
Wouldnt re-introducing an
Wouldnt re-introducing an animal that supposedly hadnt been around for over 50 years be considered tinkering?
Wolves in North America for 10,000 years
Actually, I would say exterminating a native predator that had been around for 10,000 YEARS would be considered major tinkering in nature.
life goes on...
nothing remains the same.
this is not rocket science.
Nothing stays the same - wolves are here to stay
Exactly. Nothing remains the same -- wolves are here again -- and they are here to stay.
I say no more killing of native animals on their behalf AT OUR EXPENSE.
Why should taxpayers pay for private business losses due to NATURAL CAUSES?
And who says pepper spray doesn't work better than guns?
http://www.goldentrianglenews.com/articles/2008/10/15/glacier_reporter/news/news1.prt
I wouldnt consider it
I wouldnt consider it exterminating. They more or less, relocated them to the Northern parts of North America. The stragglers didnt fair to well.
Note to IdahoLT1 --
You wouldn't consider it "exterminating" when the GOAL was to rid the country of predators and they succeeded about 95%?
You are either stoned drunk or very stupid or both.
apparently your sarcasm
apparently your sarcasm detector is broken
Oh, saracasm meter broken
It can be hard to tell by texting as there is no tone of voice or facial expression!
Destroying animals using tax dollars -- criminal
The INTENT was to get rid of all predators (read: Exterminate) to protect the livestock industry.
And using OUR tax money to benefit a PRIVATE industry. That is truly criminal.
It's similar to UK sending all the criminals to Australia. Yes, they sure did -- look it up.
Predatory Bureaucracy -- by Michael Robinson -- great book on how the feds and the livstock industry tried to completely exterminate the wolf.
Fine

and your point is.........?
Wolves do like roads
You should see all the tracks in winter back here on the EF and SF roads. They may not like busy paved roads, but the do use roads.
Hybriddog - threatening to poison our wolves?
That can be found out you idiot!
And I can't wait to turn you into the Fish and Game.

when did we humans get taken
when did we humans get taken out of the eco system?
And how can we be listed?
Humans in the ecosystem
Depends on the human. The stupid ones who hate wolves will never be listed.
catch me if you can
Just got back from Area 39, think I have a good bead on a pack.
Need to go reload some ammo.
Hopefully have one in my site tomorrow.

Hey SeventhSon
You can fix stupid.
Big Tough Guys -- AFRAID OF WOLVES?
Hey, are you big tough guys really afraid of wolves?
Or are you afraid they are better hunters?
You know....
it's an old Indian saying that if you kill or harm a wolf that is not directly attacking you, you will be CURSED forever......
Doesn't matter
what the activist judge says, I'm not stopping.
let them multiply....
open them up for harvesting...
maybe someone will come market a wolf burger.
cat food is expensive
No burgers. Cat food instead. My cats eliminted all the mice on my property. Would you believe me if I told you they killed the mice and did not eat them. They were full. But know they have nothing to eat.
Another fine example of a special interest groups
meddling in anothers affairs. Let's park a few of them next to a wolf den and see how they fare out. I like the 3 S's. Good motto.
The NRA is a "special interest group"
The NRA is a highly political group interested more in power than actual gun "rights."
kunaman
Seems to be a case of special interest group against special interest group. Seems the one mostly favored by the writers has lost this round. If you want to grab Ron Gillette and join the other group at the den.
Now that is funny.
You do know that the so-called "re-introduction" of wolves was from a special interest group outside of Idaho?
Funny indeed
And do you know that there was and is strong support from Idaho biologists, including those working for the Fish and Game?
Can you say money
I'm sure Idaho Fish and Game wanted federal money. They knew they could get the money and create more when they control the hunting of the wolves later on.
Win-Win
You are probably right, and it is a win-win situation for them. Improve the ecosystem and increase revenue so that they can continue managing the fish and game of the state.
