that is what happens when you utilize your children in a time of war. I believe that is why Vietnam vets had so many more "mental" issues than previous generations of veterans. They were forced to defend themselves against civilian women and children and the Vietnamese put their civilian women and children in harms way, allowing them to be sacrificed. That will definitely do something to mess with a person's head. However, if you choose to utilize children and/or put them in harms way, then tragedies like this are inevitable. Of course the hope is that American and other forces will back away as to not hurt civilians, especially children and our "enemies" can therefore continue creating their own tragedies without as much resistance. I wish I had a better answer, but I do not personally know how to resolve this problem, other than allowing our "enemies" to have their way all the time and no fighting back, so no "innocent" people get hurt. However, that would result in innocent people getting hurt. ?

Yeah collateral damage happens. It's wrong. Don't justify it with saying "it's part of war"....
We should be using diplomacy instead of bomb diplomacy.
