An odd stance to take
Given how you have blindly aquiesced to the neocon agenda for the last few years. Sheeple indeed. Have you heard about McCain's illegitimate black baby lately?

Obama said one word "enough"
The GOP better get used to it.
Cindy and John McCain have led no ideal life.
McCain left his first wife after a disfiguring accident to marry Cindy, the little rich girl. She herself became addited to prescribed drugs and she was fired from a job for those reasons.
Info supplied from Bush swiftboaters in 2000.
zeek,Mccain's ex wife disagrees with yer rendition of here.

GM comes here
because it's an addiction, just like it is for everyone else who posts here day and night. It makes them think that they're making a change in America, or the world, to post their beliefs on the Idaho Statesman, when, in reality, it's only giving them a false sense of satisfaction that they've done something important.
Maybe some folks get enlightened a bit (not me, of course), maybe many learn a thing, or two, but how many really change their beliefs after reading these posts?
that? maybe...I think it is getting away...
with posting bigotry and the wishing disease on people that keeps cement coming back.
did anyone keep a tally about how much barry soento is going to spend? and the tax cut he promised, for 95% of us? is that after the huge increase when the bush tax cuts expire? selling a house will cost 28% in tax when the magic guy is in power wehn the cuts expires. since 95% of us will see a tax increase with the cuts expiring, will he try to reinstate them to take credit rather than seeing to it that the cuts are made permanent?
jimmy and bill have got to be two very happy guys. the republicans in congress helped bill look pretty good. i guess it will be up to mr soento to make jimmy look good.
bho is really into recylcling. get out your sweaters, learn to expect less, and inflate your tires. it will all be ok.
Neo, I'm not sure I'd go that far about GM
I think she may be an X-ray technician, and they're inherently mean for no good reason. That definition fits her best, I think. But then again, I've had a 12-pack of Full Sail now and have lightened up considerably. Maybe she is just a b-tch.
so you saw the bigotry posted toward the mormons....
nad cements wish for a political detractor to have a disease? then did claim to have "a" mormon freind. I doubt the mormon freind knows how much hatred can pour from the cement factory toward the mormons.
Neo, I have to be honest with you
I've been a Republican all my life, but your posts often irritate the living sh_t out of me. My Republican father, and Democrat mother, often "discussed" political issues (sometimes loudly) in the house and rarely agreed on anything (I think both voted down party lines). Personally, that taught me that it's not the politics, it's the person, that makes for bad company.
Now, having said that, GM also irritates the living sh_t out of me. But, we need you on the Republican side, just like the Democrats need GM. I actually think (gasp) that it is the hard-core right-wing and left-wing that helps keep this country in balance. Too much in either direction and we fail.
cool whatrwe....
not sure what you are talking about. I have always been a reluctant republican. this election is about a left so far left that he makes many libs look reasonable vs. a middle guy. McCain does too many more things that tick off the base conservatives and the religious folks, it will be hard for him to win. I was told at a meeting tonight that neither barry or mccain are on the Texas ballots. Only Bob Barr. no diea if that's true or not.
what have I said that gets you riled up?
Neo, it's your
seriously hard-core party line that irks me, on a personal level, sometimes. Just like hard-core Dems. I think there has to be some discussion between the two parties, instead of just bickering all the time. But, like I said, it takes the far right/left wings to keep us in balance, so keep going at it because I know the other parties will, too.
Suzanne mentioned Bob Barr earlier tonight. I asked her about him but never got an answer. I haven't read anything on him, yet, so I'll have to check that out. I did like the usawakeup.org link that you posted. Thanks.
hey whatr...my hard core party line?
don't have one. I am a conservative. I beleive government that is least is best. i think people need to atke responsibility for them selves. mccain is not much bettr the barry soento.
I am concerned that this election wil prove to be the one that sets us on a collision course back into bondage, the last gasp of a democracy. when the voting is split by "what I can get from the government" and BHO stands up and promises EVERYTHING and the people vote for him and then we find out that he was just living some unilateral wet dream. will he be able to fulfill one promise? by when?
mccain has only the spending control as a proven core value and that is shaky. so what makes him better? i guess just preventing the other guy form getting in and hoping we can find a leader to come forward in the next four years.
hardly a hard core party guy.
Neo, it could be that I
misread your posts, but it seems to me that you are always on the offensive, attacking the other party, just because they're the "other" party. I've read Sun Tzu's The Art of War, and am currently re-reading it actually, so I do understand your actions from that point of view. If you have read any of my posts on Obama, you'll see that I have a similar opinion - I think his followers look at him as if he's the second coming of Christ. That level of loyalty, to an unproven politician, is scary to me. As I said in another post, also, McCain votes in my direction, more often than Obama, when he votes but I'm still on the fence when it comes to voting for him.
I asked the question last night about why people are voting for Obama and only Zeke spoke up, so I'm assuming that they're voting for him for the same reason that we're voting for McCain - to keep the other guy out of the house.
I'm currently watching the Glenn Beck video interviews with Bob Barr, so if I don't fall asleep from the twelve pack that I've drunk so far, I'll try to post what I think of him. http://blog.bobbarr2008.com/2008/08/29/video-bob-on-glenn-beck/
WHAT...SORRY DID NOT SEE YOUR POST RE BOB BARR
Bob Barr was a Republican in Congress (house Side) for years. He decided to run as a Libertarian so he could get on the ballot. We haven't heard much about him and good old Nader since they don't get much press coverage. Voting for Barr takes votes away from McCain. Voting for Nader takes votes away from Obama.
I have my own nickname for Obama. I call him BOY WONDER because I wonder what he will do next.
Susanne, that's OK
it was difficult for me to keep up with all the posts in that section, too. Thanks for your reply here, though. That's an enticing view of the votes. Makes me wonder if I should just vote Nader, then... ;)
WHAT...GOOD IDEA
If Obama gets in and screws everything up or McCain gets in and screws everything up those who voted for Nader or Barr can say they didn't vote them in and don't have to accept the blame. BUT NADER AND BARR VOTERS LOSE THE RIGHT TO COMPLAIN. We are in one heck of a mess this year. I have a 90 year old friend who never voted in her life who plans on voting this year so she can vote for McCain.
Karl Rove nailed the McCains in 2000 with lots of dirt
For his infidelity in abandoning his disfigured wife to marry Cindy. They also outlined Cindy's drug addiction and her subsequent firing.
All supplied by the GOP smear machine of Rove and Bush.
How much is Barry gonna spend?
he said he is going to invest 150 billion in this, and 200 billion in that. I had no idea he was going to invest so much in our country. being a senator and writing books must pay a lot better than I thought. Will he invest ANY of his money if he isn't the president?
every democrat nominee for the last 30 years has campaigned on a platform of what a trash heap our country is and how we need change and we are on the wrong path. the libbys have been fighting the war on poverty for over 40 years. you would think they would have mae some progress by now.
who will their hero be after teddy is gone?
His biggest word was "enough"
No more BS from the GOP. Our monies will stay here.
Zeke, you better hope so
I still think a people are following Obama like he's the next Jim Jones. Hanging on his every word and buying whatever he's selling. Remember, he is a politician, and you can only trust them as far as you can throw them (actually, that's not even true). That's not an argument for McCain, btw, just an observation.
I don't. What it comes down to is who you are going to follow
Kool aid drinkers for Bush and McCain? After 8 years, what did that produce? Needless war, loss of jobs, wages, and health insurance. Just an observation as to who is doing the hanging on to a politician's words.
loss of jobs, wages, and health insurance?
that is a nice sound bite, but hold no palce in fact what-so-ever. not that facts ever have been part of your post.
even the minimum wage is higher now than when bush took over. not that the minimum wage means (or even should mean) anything. there are more people working now, more people insured now, wages are higher, taxes are lower. i sure hope barry soento can change all this and crush all our hope.
NEORMAN, YOU MUST NOT READ THE NEWSPAPERS
or you just don't believe what you read. The minimum wage increase was just passed with no help from Bush, there are MORE people uninsured since employers are finding it too expensive, the unenployment rate just went up, thousands of people lost their homes. Gas prices skyrocketed. Potatoes went up over a dollar for ten pounds of potatoes in Idaho no less. I don't think many people will tell you that their wages are higher. People are losing good paying jobs due to outsourcing and have to take low paying jobs in the service and retail industries. I really believe you are blowing smoke to these good people.
so you just want to talk the last two years?
Are wages higher or lower than they were eight years ago? interest rates? unemployment? gas prices?
if you go back eight years, there is no way things are as stated here. the last two years have been pretty rough, but I don't think any thing is as bleak as it is being painted by the dems.
so wages wnet down? the minimum wage was increased. you want to cherry pick what GW gets credit and blame for? anything bad-GW anything good- the dems?
Are there more jobs now than when gw came to office or not?
Zeke, like I said earlier in the night
now is the perfect time to play the "we need a change" card, right? Is that why they're playing it now? I think most people want a better tomorrow but be careful of who you follow. I've never sat down at a poker table with McCain or Obama, so I don't know what's really in their hearts. If you really believe in Obama, then go for it. Me? I've said it in other posts, and I'm tired of saying it, but it's just hard for me to believe that he's the real deal that everyone's saying he is.
I've been going through the list to see if there's anything better than either of them.
Geez, Obama is just your everyday politician, right?
He ownd a ball club, attended Princeton and Harvard, rather than Yale through scholarships and student loans. He was a cheerleader, etc. Right
He was just your normal Bush type of guy who all wanted to have a beer with.
Your selective criticism is about 8 years late.
Obama was a cheerleader?
Well, he just lost my vote for sure.
Nah, W was, such an elitist
He never worried about a job or student loans, plus he was given a ball club to play with, such a hard life.
OK, then. I'm not voting for
W, this time around.
And I'm not voting for
Obama, either.
did barry get student loans?
how did he register for affirmative action? he is 50% white and only 6.5% black. Did the arab blood help him get any affirmative action?
he is not black. why does it matter anyway? is he qualified? probably not. so how did he get here? did the 125 no votes in his state government days get him here? did his passionate defense of infanticide get him here? did his association with a pastor that hates the USA get him here? did his freindship with the unrepentant home grown terrorist get him here?
did anyone run a tape on how much mr soento is going to spend? when will the gas prices come down? when will he pull out of the wars? when will he deliver the new fuel efficient car to me? when will the new teachers be on the job? when will he deliver on any one of the 'promises' he made tonight? just one!
there is a Obamagasm on TV right now....
talking about how teddy was the best public servant and he is supporting mr soento. Do you think there is a young pregnant girl, a car and a bridge in the bho future?
