No wasps
Hardly any wasps here at our home in Emmett. My wife and I were just discussing it this week. Now i know why, cold wet spring. Yea!!!
I think there are still some white anglo saxon protestants
around, aren't there?
also,
straight jackets are in short supply.
It's been a very good year...
...at our place in Boise County, insect-wise. Very few wasps and the grasshopper population is way down as well. On the flip side, we have more mosquitos this year than in the previous 7 we've lived here. I'll take mosquitos over swarms of angry wasps any time.
America - Improve it or Lose it
'Skeeters
Plenty of mosquitoes, horse flies and no-see-ums this year. Seeing grasshoppers in abundance in some places. Not so many yellow jackets, but the narrow waisted wasps are making up for it.
The best yellow jacket trap we ever had: empty clear glass beer bottle with 1/4 cup of stale beer and lay on the ground away from where you tend to walk.
