12:27 p.m. -- Three men arrested after 'road rage' incident in Boise : comments
Submitted by admin on Tue, 05/20/2008 - 12:39pm.

Isnt it funny
That the person with the ethnic name was the one who took off running and was charged with resisting arrest while the two non-ethnic men stayed put when the police arrived? Its obvious that the driver and other passenger had common sense to stay put while the real idiot took off running thinking he could get away. Way to go Antonio, way to think ahead.
Dad gum ethnics!
Heck fire! We gotta git 'em on a bus back to where theyall come frum.
Us Merikans gotta stick together, know what i meen?
Jumping fences to

Reddog
OK. Hours later
I just figured it out. I am slow today. Who is that?
Yes, the two Anglo criminals
are of a much higher caliber than the criminal who has a hispanic last name. ROTFLMAO. That's precious, Bill. How WARPED is your thought process when your prejudices become so extreme that you're happy to serve as an apologist for Anglo criminals so you can rag on the non-Anglo one? What is wrong with this picture?
Bill is an ethnic too.......don't tell him
or he will have to go back to his hole.
You're right
How did you know? I am German, English, Russian, Irish, Iranian, Polish, and a few other things.
Is white trash ethnic?
??
??..by..boohoo
No it isn't, it is actually a HIGHLY SPEICALIZED OCCUPATION here in Idaho, so many of the people (if you can call them that) posting on this form are life members, you see from time to time something about the BS ALUMS!
Yes, the two Anglo criminals..by..MidnightToker
Well, for starters, maybe, it is that stuff you are "TOKING" at night. It doesn't make you genius just because you can put your lips on something that is round. What is MidnightToker? AKA for "maliengus"!
What? No one is going
to bust this idiot's (Bill's) chops on "playing the race card?" Reddog? Hmmmmmmm...I'm starting to see a pattern here.
What "race" card
You need to read the cards better. He played the "Ethnic" card. Race and ethnicity are not the same.
Do you really know?
Since you really don't know anything I will fill you in. I have know Tony for many years. I first met him when he was playing Tball with my boy say about 13 years ago. He has over come more than most throughout his life I have watched him grow up go through his ups and downs. He was born here in the United States and is an American. Have you ever gotten drunk and made a poor decision. Well I imagine that is what has happened here. I am not justifing Tony he is in trouble and will be punished for his crimes. He hasn't done so well in his older teenage years especially after his father died in the ADA County Jail not long ago. Before you throw a stone make sure you know you have lived a perfect life and what you speak is true.
mhelgers : just goes to show....
the acorn doesn't fall to far from the tree
My Dad Didn't Die in the Ada County Jail
Therefore I'm justified to LOL @ at your son's friend's misfortune.
Why?
Your comment shows what a shallow person you are to laugh at anothers misfortune. When the time comes time you loose a parent, friend or someone you just knew and it really doesnt matter how you loose them you just don't have them anymore and it affects you I hope that others arent full of such harsh words. You say my son's friend did you not read what I wrote they played ball together. I was the volunteer parent helping out which enabled me to get to know these children, makes me sad that words flow so easy against his race and father dieing. There is no justifing what they have done and they will be punished but how do you justify all this racial and negative remarks. Before throwing words you should think how it makes one feel. Words are like swords they cut deep and you could really scar someone for life. Do you talk this way because your were taught it is ok, or were you talked to that way or is it just because you feel you have the right? I'm not really sure but maybe you should look deep to your voice of reason and let me know how this is jusified.
Hey Man
His dad went to jail, and now he's going to jail. Why on earth should I, or anyone else care what the backstory is? Too many excuses. Nobody's ever responsible. It's always somebody else's fault. Enough. I appreciate the fact that you are a compassionate person, and the world would be a better place if there were more like you. If I've offended you, I'm sorry. But this is certainly not the forum for a person to browse for kind words of a non-victim.
Voice of Reason?
Really, you're fairly unreasonable much of the time.
1. Who said his dad's dieing in jail was an excuse? It's back story that helps explain how this kid came to commit the crimes he did. Nobody said it JUSTIFIED them.
2. Who said he wasn't responsible? As a matter of fact, mhelgers said "I am not justifing Tony he is in trouble and will be punished for his crimes."
People, including yourself, are so willing to condemn someone written up in the Idaho Statesman, a paper many people like to call the Mistakesman. So which is it? Is it the bastion of truth where all articles about crime are so accurate that a trial isn't needed? Or is it a flawed paper that misprints the half truths it does sometimes print? Or do you pick and choose? And who are you to play judge and jury based on what one article says? Is that really what you consider "reason?"
If you were really "The Voice of Reason" you'd be more inclined to sit back and look at the entire picture, try to understand the entire story and not cast dispersions based on one article. Your name really isn't very fitting of your actions.
Oh Please
Surely there's a better fight for you to pick. Although, you and I could agree to follow this trial to the bitter end and see whose opinion was more astute. Sound like a deal? Please advise.
Ahhh
I see, so I call you out on your callous behavior and you try to act like you didn't care in the first place.
No, I'm sorry but you're judgmental, rash and quick to bash people based on what a newspaper you don't trust says.
Better fight for me to pick? I'm just responding to the fight you started by pointing out the irony of calling your self the voice of reason when you're as far from reasonable as anyone that posts here.
Who's opinion is more astute? The guy who stated facts? Or you, who spewed vitriol? I didn't even offer an opinion on the issue did I? I offered an opinion on YOU. Did you want to see how that plays out then?
Ahhh..by..MrSkippy
This is my one and only comment about you skip-ta-ma-loo! You write like you are about 5 feet, 9 inches tall or less, balding, glasses, momma's boy still living at home and playing big man on some kiddy show tv game, or at least very profound in some other abstract manner, that keeps you from being norm, what is it, are you a cop, a judge, one of craigs friends, or just a tit on a boar hog? MrSkippy....MrSkippy?????? Don't forget ToTo before you fall into the bunny hole!!
Please read what you have written
You make no sense. Your statements have proven you to be a very unreasonable person, discriminative and apparentally uneducated on life. Your words should be words of debate, statements of intelligence not bashing. I am not offended by the forum I am offended by people who feel that race or laughing at ones mis fortune is acceptable. I am sure you have a lot a good imput but if you really want anyone to take you seriously you need to leave the elementry name calling and bashing out.
What you ask for, is quite impossible.
Warning: What you are responding to is a standard Warheit post.
'Your words should be words of debate, statements of intelligence...'
'...leave the elementary name calling and bashing out.'
'I am sure you have a lot of good inpute...'
These are things Warheit does not do. EVER.
'You make no sense. Your statements have proven you to be a very unreasonable person, discriminative and apparentally uneducated on life.'
You could have stopped there.
What you ask for..by..leafworth
your comment and the one you are advising, represent the epitome of selfish emptiness, only resonating with stupidity and greedy better than thou blindness that dismantles societies, based on who you like, not what is correct! Stuff it yahoos!!
I See
It's more reasonable to assume that a kid, whose father died in prison, and who took off running at the sound of police sirens, is innocent? Got it. Thanks for putting it in perspective for me, Skippy. YOU truly are the voice of reason.
Isn't it funny..by..Bill
Isn't it funny that you see something ethnic here, that makes you express "goofy you syndrome", what is the matter did you never see or hear of a black man named White, I guess that is ethnic also!! Road Rage??? What is the appropriate behavior when preparing for your funeral, Rage me!!
uh
Aren't ALL names ethnic???
It was the booze.
I'm sure once he sobers up he'll see the errors of his ways. Maybe this is why Teddy stayed drunk all the time...
DEPORT
Deport all 3 of them to whichever country their ancestors are from! Plus, Bill, everyone knows white guys can't jump!
HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA!!!!!
Thanks for the laugh, I needed that :)
Wasn't the booze....rather
Wasn't the booze....rather it was the stupidity. They won't sober up from being dumb. This is awesome....some punks who think that harassing citizens is fun are now up against felony charges. The buffoons are learning that being 18 is more complicated than being able to legally buy clove cigarettes. Hope they enjoy their future. Maybe they're chilling with the mountain people that slashed tires.....man, imagine all that intellect in one place...
Rough entertainment method
That all three guys in the Datsun stepped out already holding potentially lethal attack tools says it all: They were on the street looking to do something to somebody. Anybody.
Luckily nobody got hurt. These fellows would be wise to find a nicer way to have fun in public. Provoking random conflicts with unknown drivers and then approaching the victim's stopped vehicle holding battering tools...this is how they could have their first -- and last -- introduction to Mr. Glock.
Too bad he didn't have a TRUNK MONKEY
If you have ever seen the commercials with the "trunk monkey", you know what I mean. If you haven't seen them, check them out on U-Tube. They are halarious. The road-rage one is the best.
The car
The Datsun was wounded in this isolated incedent. Please lets observe a moment of silence.
Welcome to the ...
cool kids club.
Rule #1 Danny boy, Don't cry during your booking photo.
Giant bag of douche.
Should lose his license
The idiot should lose his license for five years, if not permanently. We are more willing to sentence people to prison than we are to revoke their driving privileges. Driving privileges should be harder to attain and easier to lose. A stupid road rage incident like this should cost you a few years of driving, no questions asked. Someone said that if you wanted to murder someone in the U.S. and get away with a light sentence, do it with a car.
Never let them get you stopped
or out of the car. this is the same error the woman on the freeway made a few years ago. Your car is a very effective weapon, use it if nessesary. Let the cops sort it all out later.
Unfortunately
you don't loose your license for agg assault. Although the judge could make a it a condition for probation, which these three will likley get. Five years is usual. But first they will have to do a bit of lockup time. Not much though. Sixty to ninety days maybe. A previous criminal history will make that considerably worse though. It is somewhat ironic that these three "tough" guys will be subject to five years of a probation officer showing up at odd hours and going through their drawers, have to squirt in a cup, attend "I am sorry I am stupid" classes and have to pay court costs and any damages. But with a violent crime, there is almost zero chance they will ever have it reduced to a misdemeanor at the end of their sentence. These charachters will likely be listed as violent felons for the rest of their lives with all the attendant gun ownership and possession restrictions THAT brings, the inability to vote, hold public office, join the military, be bonded, work at a job that requires a backgound investigation or who knows how many other things. All because they thought they were grown up tough guys who would prove their manhood. Do you suppose they know if they swung their weapons at anyone with a gun he could lawfully blow their brains out? Like someone once said, it is too bad being stupid isn't painful.
military
No problem...these guys would be accepted cheerfully..
military is abit short on cannon fodder...for the bushy glorious middle east adventure!
This wouldn't
keep them out of the military. You're thinking of the Lautenberg Amendment, which prevents a person convicted of domestic violence from having a firearm. As you can well imagine, that seriously limits your career potential in the military!
A stint in the Army might be good for these guys. A little order and discipline never hurt anyone. I think the guys were bored and made a stupid mistake that they will and should feel the consequences for.
Oh sure
....get all tought and stuff in your NINETEEN SEVENTY EIGHT DATSUN! Mercy!
guess I'll just believe the "innocent" ones
Its funny how we're so busy bashing on the idiots we failed to realize there might be a discrepancy in this whole story. I do agree the guys in the Datsun are stupid and should be punished for what they were doing but I have a hard time believing the other car did nothing to provoke or entice the people in the datsun to act the way they did. They conveniently pulled over and got out of their car to face these "criminals". Sounds a bit one sided to me...
innocent?
To the cops nobody is 'innocent'. A former cop once told me (no not as I was getting arrested) that most cops believe about 10% of what anybody says to them while they are on duty. So I believe about 10% of what the cops say.
It is hard to draw any conclusions based on the Statesman, and I believe about 10% of what they say too.
yeah
but which 10% do you believe.
Personally I'm confident of the articles and some of the adjectives they use. But the nouns and verbs... man you gotta keep your eye on those!
10%?
Having been there and done that or something like it most of my life, I can't let that one go as just hot air. It just isn't so. Officers listen intently to what witnesses and vics say. A good policeman doesn't make snap judgements about the truth of something unless an immediate arrest is required and even then his decision is based on rules. Discovery of what happened is a process and takes a little time. He wouldn't have a job very long if his decisions were incorrect too often. Think about it.
Two side to every story.
Every time.
Actually Three
yours, mine, and the truth.
I admire the presumption of innocence....
....but homeboy running sort of speaks for itself. Plus, they'd been drinking and driving and you know the BPD would have taken the other guy in if he'd been doing the same. If they're guilty then they need to be hammered like the moronic idiots they surely are. The funny part is crybaby will recall fondly the days when he had a sweet ride in the '76 Datsun B210 with the 8-track.
Homeboy?
