The school district is just finishing the addition to the Donnelly School, built especially for Tamarack worker families. Tamarack is over 6 months behind on making a $400,000 payment to the district, with another payment due either soon or already. The school was counting on that money. Doubt they'll ever see it: it needs to come from somewhere else in the school's budget. Stealing money from our schoolkids, they are.
They're behind on property taxes, income taxes...guess who gets to make up the difference?
Millions of dollars behind on paying contractors and workers. Kited checks to charities and events like the Master's Cup Race (but got in their advertising, anyway).
Yet, they were able to divert a $1 million/month from the cash register.
There should be a sheriff's sale going on right now to begin to make this right.
And where is Dirk Kempthorne on this whole mess?

Remember when Kempthorne was only paying like $14 dollars a year in property taxes on his little "lot" up there. I wonder if he still owns it, and if he sold it, for how much? Carpe Money, right Kempthorne? He is as innefectual as a administrator in Washington as he was here. All his self serving commercials about carpooling; why didn't he spend the money on green bus's...As far as Scamarack goes, put 'um on the curb. Like we would anyone who was foreclosed.

about the French bank that had a trading scandal and did not make them a loan. That is bull and has nothing to do with the facts behind their inability to continue opperations. No one has verified this excuse and another excuse is that Andre Agassi and Stephi Graf did not purchase their property either and that caused their problem. Why not call Agassi and get his scoop on this? That is a better story than JP giving us more lies and BS.

about how it was going to change the ways of living in the rural communities surrounding it. To watch it rise to fall so quickly. Wonderful I bet the locals are ever so thankful for Tamarack.

Not thanking them for artificially inflating property values (TAXES) in the rest of the county so rich folks could have a 2nd (or 3rd) vacation chalet. We always thought of it as a real estate scam.
I'm sure the folks whose paychecks bounced are not thanking them. I'm sure the Donnelly school district is not thanking them either.
I think the only people thanking them are the ones who managed to sell their property and get the heck out of here.

Lake Cascade?

I never understood why people thought building a resort on lake Cascade was a good idea. Small ski terrain and for the summer aspects, I have never swam in a mossier, smellier, groady lake than Cascade. It was done by people who don't live here and don't see why it wont work. I hated its elitist attitude and lack of foresight. Payette lake here I come!

Je n'ai jamais compris pourquoi la pensée des gens en construisant un recours sur la Cascade de lac était une bonne idée. Le petit terrain de ski et pour les aspects d'été, je n'ai jamais n'a nagé dans un plus moussu, plus puant, groady le lac que la Cascade. Il a été fait par les gens qui ne vivent pas ici et ne voient pas pourquoi cela le travail de coutume. J'ai détesté son attitude élitiste et manque de prévoyance. Le lac de Payette ici je viens!

Nunca incluí/entendido porqué el pensamiento de la gente construyendo un recurso en la cascada del lago era una buena idea. La pequeña tierra del esquí y para los aspectos del verano, nunca tengo no nadé en un más moussu, más puant, groady el lago que la cascada.
