Sponsored by SLIERS
I understand this was a great event - made possible in part by a wonderful sponsorship by SLIERS: St. Luke's*Idaho Elks Rehabilitation Services. They are to be commended (even though they were not mentioned in the story) for the part they played in making this happen. SLIERS is always looking to make the community a better place and they did that with this great event. They created learning materials and even handed out PIZZA! They were mostly concerned that the kids had a good experience. That is what SLIERS is all about- making the neighborhood healthier, happier, safer and good for all.
Stephen King?
Agreed, this was great for the St. Lukes folks to put on but who chose a Stephen King book? Is that really the best option for 1st graders? Is Dr. Seuss not dark enough?
