Fascists & Foreclosures

Real Estate Madness

Recently, an article about people burning their houses down rather than allowing the bank to foreclose caught our attention and alerted us to the dire state of the real estate recession facing America today. Another item published told readers that the number of homes facing foreclosure jumped 57% by January 2008 compared to what it was last January. Some states, like Delaware, have gone so far as to establish outreach agencies like The Federation of Housing Counseling to prevent people from losing their properties.

When all is said and done, this whole mess came about because greedy banks lured potential home buyers to purchase properties they could not afford. The United Fascist Union proposes legislation be enacted and passed into law, that would restrict what bankers can and cannot do and say, for the common welfare of the community at large. The U. F. U. proposes massive reforms in existing bankruptcy laws to give homeowners a chance to pay off their loans.

Sincerely yours,

The banks may have set the trap

The banks may have set the trap but the people that are loosing there homes were greedy also. What ever happened to responsabiliy for one's actions? What about responsibility for the person that was signing those page after page of loan papers? Were they not readig what they were signing. The Bank is only part of the problem. People of the new generation want things NOW and they only look at the payments to see if they can afford it this month. Most do not think down the road when they need a new car, repairs, and possible other emergencies that may come up. Young people today have become the "give it to me now" and I dont care if I cant pay for it later generation. I believe that when the Banks continue to loose under these situations that the smart ones will do things to correct the problem on there own or go belly up.
The real problem is making people of this generation realize that they are going to have to pay for it and banckrupcy laws are going to become more and more difficult. If not sooner or later everyone will be cashing in on living the high life and then filing banckrupcy and then doing it over and over.

Not me, I am a fan of the old belief "dont buy something unless you got the money!" Simple but effective for staying out of debt.

Then you aren't a fascist at all!

You're just a Mormon. They buy stuff after the money's in, unless they're just typical jack.
