Money for roads
Submitted by greyghost on Thu, 01/10/2008 - 9:58am.
Otter fell way short of leadership.
I see BSali is sending out a letter & an opinion ballot. Do you agree Congressional spending has gotten out of control or no, Congressional spending hasn't gotten out of control?
This clown is suddenly all about the waste, low approval ratings & pork barrel spending we all knew about for years & waste more of our $ by sending out crap to make him look as if he's on top of it. Evidently BS didn't know how Congress worked before you elected him. Another fine choice!
It's ok though because he's pushing a couple bills through that will solve all our problems & with the help of the opinion poll he can show the world what we really think. Either congress is wasting $ or they are not while his letter clearly states they are & have an approval rating of 11%! I'll bet the rest of our representatives are amazed by how fast he figured out something they haven't in years & trillions of $! How long is your boy going to last with the rest of them sighting in on him & his bills? He's either going to play by their rules or he's out & he just broke rule #1.
They pass that crap to please contributors & line their own pockets. Why do you think illegal immigration is the problem it is? Our representatives promoted it for cheap labor as a favor to contributors. Say goodbye BS. He did US a favor with this one.
Government is the reason unions came to be. Government wasn't protecting US workers/taxpayers so unions were created & they cut their own throat through greed. Meatpacking plants closed doors, busted unions, & illegal immigration took off. Don't let me mislead you. Illegal immigration was going strong through agri corruption's contributions long before the meatpacking plants got into it. Look where it is today. Construction, landscaping, manufacturing, & all those jobs Americans won't do. Jobs we did for a living wage 30 years ago but according to our misrepresentatives jobs we won't do today. They don't mention the low wages they pay compared to what they paid when Amerians did do those jobs.
The federal government has been cutting the states out of funding ever since Bush took office, now the states are cutting off on counties, counties cutting cities, & in the end it all falls to individuals who already pay all the taxes the federal government is cutting from US taxpayers needs & infrastructure. Those of US who actually live in the 21st century, drive/own cars, & homes. Too bad we don't have any representation.
I think Otter's state of the state speaks volumes. Leaving out public transit all together was good. I see that other local & state leaders have learned to deal with taxes after the federal government showed the way. Put it up to the voters, allow them to decide by voting. Not a bad idea, it's called democracy. I wonder why they waited until the entire nation is about to fold? I don't suppose to cover their own assets.
In a few years they can say, we let you vote on it & this is what you wanted. People will no doubt forget to tell them that America was already in the crapper due to the mismanagement by our representatives who sold US out through campaign finance but it won't matter. As long as people who don't own cars or homes & don't pay the taxes vote these clowns into office the rest of US will pay for everything & the idiots riding their bikes around with respirators & oxygen will be telling US, "I told you so, vote repulcian, dad did."
Otter wants to cut state employees benefits & give them raises. Good idea since health care costs will be higher in the future due to illgeal immigration destroying our health care system. They can have a quarter raise to buy their $1,000 month insurance. Considering state employees get raises by percentage & the top poeple making thousands more get bigger raises it all fits.
One of the ideas I have on www.nextrevolution.net. Eliminate our representatives benefits! Cut their health care & retirement which we provide. They already got their raise. If it's good enough for our state workers it's good enough for our representatives!
I have all kinds of ideas on Nextrev. but they involve taking money from contributors, lobbyist, politicians, credit card companies, & contributors so I guess they'll never happen. Otter has very few ideas, more taxes if any to come up with $ for roads yet he wants roads, roads that don't solve gridlock. Politicans want to give US taxpayers the right to vote on taxes, OK lets vote.
Tax campaign contributions given to politicans not yet on our payroll.
Take contributions given to our employees.
Cut their provided benefits, health care, & retirement.
You've seen the list. The next one would solve a lot of problems but your representatives have to be told to do it.
Take the top two or three percent from interest rates people pay to credit cards. I think Congress has that ability. Since BSali already cut his own throat he may as well get on board & get behind the taxpayers on a bill that will rebuild our infrastructure, starting with a bypass around Boise. Let's put the democracy they're suddenly all about to work & vote on it. Take 2% or 3% of interest rates from credit card interest rates to pay for roads. If enough people sign on it can be brought to a ballot. Consumer spending drives about two thirds economic activity, consumers are using credit cards to buy, & paying high interest while going bankrupt due to the other taxes Bush, BSali, Otter, & the rest of our illustrious misrepresentatives would create instead of & along with these high interest rates.

Too bad the American people are afraid to be the boss
After all the current administration, congress, & the US Senate have done to US I would think We the People would take it upon themselves to get things done, right.
