Abstinence-only education
Submitted by scassinelli on Wed, 06/25/2008 - 8:49pm.
Idaho and other states are saying no to millions of federal dollars for abstinence education, skeptical of how well the program works and worried about on-and-off funding. The Bush administration touts the abstinence-only program as a way to slow teen sexual activity. What do you think? Will abstinence-only programs slow teen sexual activity?

Let's beat a dead horse without mentioning it!
Education
If Idaho doesn't want to spend money to help prevent an activity that might eventually lead to spending more money to help the pregnant and their new children, then so be it. I don't personally believe these programs work unless they are involuntary and parents agree to let their children receive the education. But then it always boils down to personal choice.
No more locking them in their rooms and serving cold porridge...
