The mysterious mister Anderson

The new comedy is about three brothers (Owen Wilson, Jason Schwartzman and Adrien Brody) trying to "find themselves" on a train ride across India.
First, who is the unnamed businessman played by Bill Murray? Murray, an Anderson regular, has a non-speaking role that has left some fans guessing he is the ghost of the brothers' recently deceased father.
Second, in ”Hotel Chevalier," the short film that precedes "Darjeeling" in theaters, why is Natalie Portman's body all bruised? Most fans are either too busy wondering how Anderson got her to be in a nude scene or how Anderson got her to be nude in the same room with Jason Schwartzman to wonder about the bruises. Anderson was quoted as saying: "I'd like to leave that one in the viewers' imaginations."
