Three Books and a Deserted Island
Submitted by Janice Hildreth on Tue, 05/22/2012 - 2:23pmIf you surf the web for any time you find all sorts of interesting ways to waste time. Surveys and questionnaires abound. and I’m going to use one of them myself to ask: If you were going to a deserted island and could only pack three books, which three would you take?
Here are mine:
The Bible – King James version because the words are beautiful even if sometimes mystifying
Gone with the Wind, by Margaret Mitchell – I loved it in the eighth grade, and it’s long -- an important consideration for a deserted island

This looks like a good scope for those who like to plink at certain rodents in the spring. The Nikon P-223 scope is preset to the ballistics for standard .223 rounds for an AR-15 and other .223 rifles, so the hold over is already calculated. It's an inexpensive way to get take some of the guess work out of shooting at longer ranges.

Idaho GOP to reorganize following primary; Ada and Canyon meetings begin Wednesday
Submitted by Dan Popkey on Tue, 05/22/2012 - 9:02am, updated on Tue, 05/22/2012 - 9:03amIdaho law requires political parties to reorganize after biennial primary elections, with the votes held by the precinct committeemen and women elected in Idaho's 925 election precincts.
The action is on the GOP side, where Gov. Butch Otter is aiming to avoid the embarrassment of 2008, when his candidate for party chairman was defeated by a conservative-libertarian axis that elected Norm Semanko.
Semanko is stepping down in June and voters who will elect his successor will be chosen at county central committee meetings in the coming days.
