It's snowmobile season, officially.
Deadwood Outfitters, located along the Stanley-Landmark Road near Deadwood Summit, is reporting 41 inches of snow at the lodge and nearly 90 inches over Deadwood Summit.
The lodge reports on its Facebook page that the Stanley snowmobile groomer has reached the lodge and that they are waiting on the groomer from the north to have the whole trail groomed.
Deadwood Summit has been getting a lot of snow. It's also in the drainage of the Middle Fork of the Salmon River. Could that mean plenty of water for rafting next summer?
