Former Boise State linebacker Byron Hout will be back on the Broncos' sidelines this fall as a defensive graduate assistant. Hout, a two-year starter, will coach linebackers.
Hout replaces Andrew Browning, who took a coaching position at UTEP under former Boise State offensive line coach Sean Kugler.

Boise State junior guard Jeff Elorriaga returned to practice Monday, but his status for Wednesday's game at Colorado State remains uncertain. Elorriaga has missed five of the last six halves after suffering two concussions in a week earlier this month.

RENO — Nevada dominated the second half and cruised past Boise State 75-59 at the Lawlor Events Center in Reno on Saturday afternoon.
The Broncos led 28-27 at halftime, but Nevada used a 10-0 early in the second half to take control of the game. Malik Story had eight points during the 10-0 run. He finished with 16 points.

Boise State junior guard Jeff Elorriaga will miss Saturday's game at Nevada and could miss an extended period of time as he deals with concussions and concussion-like symptoms, Broncos coach Leon Rice said Thursday.
"He'll be out for a while," Rice said.

Sophomore guard Derrick Marks scored 30 points, center Ryan Watkins had a career-high 18 rebounds and the Broncos made all 26 free-throw attempts in a 74-67 victory against Fresno State on Wednesday night at Taco Bell Arena.

AIR FORCE ACADEMY – Air Force guard Michael Lyons scored a career-high 37 points and the Falcons raced past Boise State 91-80 on Saturday afternoon.
The Broncos, who played without junior guard Jeff Elorriaga (concussion), were led by center Ryan Watkins. Watkins had a career-high 24 points and 13 rebounds.

Boise State leading scorer Derrick Marks, key reserve Mikey Thompson and backup big man Darrious Hamilton will be available to play for the Broncos in Wednesday's home game against New Mexico, the school announced Saturday.
All three were suspended for Boise State's Mountain West opener at Wyoming, a game the Broncos won 63-61.
