UPDATED: Fall Arbitron radio ratings for 12+ and 25-54

Updated: I added 25-54 numbers and a bit of commentary.

--

Fall 2012 Arbitron ratings have arrived. These get broken down into oodles of demographics. I like to examine two.

First, we have station rankings among listeners 25-54 years old — the demo advertisers care about. Hel-lo, Bob. This particular 25-54 list also features numbers for a handful of stations (such as non-commercial operations) that aren't normally included in the Arbitron ratings. (We'll call it a happy accident.) I boldfaced a few of those stations.

25-54
96.1 Bob FM — 7.2
105.9 Mix 106 FM — 6.9
Kiss 103.3 FM — 6.6
107.1 K-Hits FM — 5.2
Wild 101. FM — 5.2
KBOI 670 AM — 4.8
Kissin' 92.3 FM — 4.8
100.3 X FM — 4.8
107.9 Lite FM — 4.8
Wow Country 104.3 FM — 4.1
KBSX 91.5 FM — 4.1
94.9 FM The River — 3.8
Variety Rock 105.1 FM — 3.1
96.9 FM The Eagle — 3.1
KPDA 100.7 FM — 3.1
KQFC 97.9 FM — 2.8
93.1 FM The Ticket — 2.8
89.5 FM KTSY — 2.8

KIDO 580 AM — 1.7
KDBI 101.9 FM — 1.4
KARO 98.7 FM — 1.0
KMHR 950 AM — 1.0
KQTA 106.3 FM — 1.0
KTIK 1350 AM — 1.0
KBXL 94.1 FM — 0.7
KINF 99.1 FM — 0.7
KARJ FM — 0.3
KFXD 630 AM The Fan — 0.3
KKOO 99.5 FM Kool Oldies — 0.3
Radio Boise 89.5 FM — 0.3

Next, we have the overall "bragging rights" category — listeners 12 and older between 6 a.m. and midnight. KBOI rode the Boise State Broncos into the Arbitron end zone. Classic rocker the Eagle pointed its beak downward ("Die Like an Eagle"?), plummeting from a 4.8 in spring to a 2.2. Wow 104.3 and its strangely strong spring -- 7.2 -- fell back to Earth at 4.3. And look at ol' unpredictable Bob FM — No. 1 in 25-54, and making a play for top five in 12+.

12+
KBOI 670 AM — 7.8
Kiss 103.3 FM — 6.8
105.9 Mix 106 FM — 5.7
107.1 K-Hits FM — 5.5
KQFC 97.9 FM — 5.3
96.1 Bob FM — 5.1
Wild 101. FM — 5.1
107.9 Lite FM — 4.9
Kissin' 92.3 FM — 4.5
Wow Country 104.3 FM — 4.3
100.3 X FM — 3.9
94.9 FM The River — 3.1
Variety Rock 105.1 FM — 2.9
KIDO 580 AM — 2.2
96.9 FM The Eagle — 2.2
KTIK 93.1 FM The Ticket — 2.2
KPDA 100.7 FM — 1.8
KDBI 101.9 FM — 1.2
KINF 99.1 FM — 0.8
KQTA 106.3 FM — 0.8
KTIK 1350 AM — 0.8
KFXD 630 AM The Fan — 0.6

If you see any typos, let me know. I hand typed these bad boys at the speed of sound.

Did KKOO Kool Oldies 99.5 even participate or chart?

As long as the signal sounds like a tin can I'll never bother with 630 anyway...most of my sets know there is IBOC there, the buzz is obvious...especially my latest 80s boombox. And OPB won't even transmit at 107.5 in stereo anymore because of the interchannel crap that makes it hard to capture.

Thanks a lot!

Apple users, run the Gig of RAM your PC needs to have and read the dumb tech white papers, wrinkle your forehead and buy more food and toilet paper with the difference. The internet is a piece of junk anyway and your cats know this.

Does Sirius/XM chart ratings?

Hair Nation, Boneyard?

No ads? Ratings are for making advertising rates up.
