'The Other Studio' recap: Christmas edition 12.23.12

It was pure Christmas fun last night on "The Other Studio," which airs at 9 p.m. Sundays on 94.9 FM "The River." We'll take a holiday break next week; the show won't air Dec. 30. We'll return Jan. 6 with discussion of the best music of 2012.

Here's last night's playlist:

-Celtic Elvis, "Kill a Tree for Christ"
-The Superions, "Fruitcake"
-Kurtis Blow, "Christmas Rappin"
-Rum-D.M.C., "Christmas in Hollis"
-Yellowman, "We Wish You a Reggae Christmas"
-Material, "It's a Holiday"
-Wham, "Last Christmas"
-Hall and Oates, "Jingle Bell Rock"
-They Might Be Giants, "Santa's Beard"
-Billy Squier, "Christmas is the Time to Say I Love You"
-Ronnie James Dio, "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen"
-The Ramones, "Merry Christmas (I Don't Want to Fight)"

You were right about Radio Boise and it's become my favorite!

I managed to fix a very neat 1980 Kenwood KA-60 integrated and hooked some Pioneer minisystem speakers and a 90s Marantz tuner to it and am having a blast, especially since I made it work!

The signal is AWESOME in Ontario!

Sorry I missed you last night but KRBX and K-Hits have been on all my waking hours.

Yes, they did play Christmas In Hollis last night as well :)

Apple users, run the Gig of RAM your PC needs to have and read the dumb tech white papers, wrinkle your forehead and buy more food and toilet paper with the difference. The internet is a piece of junk anyway and your cats know this.

I got food and handkerchiefs, exactly what I needed!

And I have about 1/2 an hour of video of the adults and kids enjoying their presents, including my grandma. A good day and I got the usual leftover plates for dinner.
