Name the Score contest for Boise State-Washington (with Murphy prediction)

The Chicago Connection "Name the Score" contest is back for its fourth season here at Murph's Turf. Many thanks to Chicago Connection for providing the prize (a gift certificate for a free pizza) each week.

The rules are pretty much the same as they have been, but for any newcomers here they are:

Boise State plays Washington in the MAACO Bowl Las Vegas on Saturday (1:30 p.m., ESPN) and here is your chance to predict the score and win a prize.

Place your guess (whole numbers only, no fractions) with a winner and both teams' score in the comments down below and we will pick one winner. (Please limit one guess per commenter.)

The closest to the actual score of the game wins.

You can listen to my audio prediction.

All entries must be received by 11 a.m. MT on Saturday.

When you register to make comments at IdahoStatesman.com, you put in an e-mail address. I will contact the winner through that e-mail address.

If it comes down to tiebreakers, closest to Boise State's actual score, closest without going over and then first received will be the tie-breaking order.

Would love to see BSU win going away but we have yet to prove we can score more than 20 against a good defense. I think the defense might give us a short field or two and our d-line has Price flustered all game so as long as we can stuff the run.........

I find your score prediction fascinating given this year's team's struggles to score against good defenses.

Fact is, this game is going to be a defensive chess match between current BSU DC Kwitkowski and former BSU DC Wilcox. Plus, both teams can be expected to keep tight reins on their offensive (and defensive) playbooks in this game, given that the Broncos open the 2013 season playing U Dub in Seattle.

people read these statesman football blogs anymore.

There is only one page of predictions, when there used to be 3-4 pages.

Especially curious is that this last game was a BSU Bowl Game.

Has interest in BSU football fallen off that much since the Broncos blew the 2012 season with the loss to Michigan State in the first game of the season? I have seen a lack of interest in most of Idaho but I am assuming it is still kinda active in Boise, though. I sure would like to see more Bronco logo stuff in Magic Valley, as I only saw one pickup truck with 2T plates with a Broncio sticker on it, sometime back in October.

It is kinda lonely being about the only BAA Member in Magic Valley, as most college football fans are BYU, Utah State, Utah, and Idaho fans.

Not to worry Bronco Fans. BSU Broncos had a wonderful Training Season and Growing Year. Next year (2013 season) the Broncos are gonna come out smokin' and go undefeated (gotta get past Tennessee-Martin the second game, though) and have a legitimate shot at a BCS Bowl.
