Thanks to huge snowstorms early in the season, Baldy's Bowls and the Mayday lift will open Dec. 6 at Sun Valley Resort.
More than 3 feet of new snow in the past 72 hours has pushed terrain openings well ahead of schedule on Baldy, the resort said.
In addition, Seattle Ridge and the Seattle Ridge Day Lodge also will open Friday, Dec. 14.
On Dollar Mountain, skiers and riders can expect Quarter and Half Dollar lifts and the Accelerator Carpet opening for the season Saturday, Dec. 8.
Other openings include the Lookout Restaurant's new Taco Bar and Carol's Dollar Mountain Lodge, Saturday, Dec. 8 and the Roundhouse Saturday, Dec. 15.

Glad to hear the ski resorts may have an excellent
season. My brother is an avid snow boarder, so Im sure he is pretty happy now.
Also, it is good news for out aquifer and water and reservoirs.
Snow is weird
Although Bogus, Tamarack and Brundage are still waiting for snow, it's strange how isolated storms dumped lots of snow on Deadwood Summit, Galena Summit and the Trinities.
