Trey McIntyre Project and the University of Idaho won the Fellowships as part of the Art Works 1 grant program for 2013.
Boise-based contemporary ballet company the Trey McIntyre Project received $15,000 to create and produce a new work by Trey McIntyre, scheduled to premiere in early 2013.
The University of Idaho received two fellowships for $10,000 each, one to support a residency and performances by the Ying Quartet, the other on behalf of Prichard Art Gallery to present "Uncommon River" an exhibit featuring the work of artists such as Christo, Philip Govedare, and Jen Torres. Painter and printmaker Christine Destrempes will work with the community to create a large-scale installation exploring the shrinking availability of clean water. Both grants will provide for outreach programs.
