Sophomore guard Anthony Drmic had 25 points, 10 rebounds and five assists as the Boise State men's basketball team defeated Oakland 88-80 on Tuesday night at Taco Bell Arena.
Boise State improved to 2-0 with the win.
Drmic was one point shy of his career high, set last year against Idaho. It was his second career double-double.
Derrick Marks added 18 points and four assists for the Broncos. Jeff Elorriaga had 17 points and Igor Hadziomerovic had 15 points and five assists.
Oakland, which has reached the NCAA Tournament in two of the last three seasons, got 17 points and 12 assists from center Corey Petros. Guard Duke Mondy had a team-high 21 points.
The Broncos used a 22-6 run early in the second half to break a 40-40 tie and gain control of the game.
Boise State plays Louisiana-Lafayette on Sunday at Taco Bell Arena. Tip off is at 1 p.m.
