Senior Toby Anderson is scheduled to sign a national letter of intent to play baseball for the University of Minnesota at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 14 at Skyview High.
Anderson, a three-year letterman, is the first player from the Hawks’ program to land a Division I scholarship out of high school.
The 6-foot-5, 175-pound right-handed pitcher also was recruited by Washington State, Seattle, Nebraska and Oregon State.

Santa Clara sophomore forward and Centennial High graduate Sofia Huerta was recently named to the 2012 All-West Coast Conference first team in girls soccer.
Huerta has six goals and a team-high five assists despite missing the first five games of the season while playing for Mexico in the U-20 World Cup.
No. 18 Santa Clara (11-3-6) opens NCAA Tournament play against Long Beach State (12-7) on Saturday.
