Boise State hosts Ada County commissioner debate Oct. 4

Candidates in the Ada County Commissioner race will meet in a debate on the Boise State campus at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, in the Student Union Jordan A Ballroom.

Candidates include:

District 1: Democrat Larry Rincover and Republican Jim Tibbs

District 2: Democrat Thomas Howell and Republican Dave Case

The event is free and open to the public. Free parking is available in the Lincoln Avenue Parking Garage; use code 201270018 at the pay kiosk.

Presented by the Department of Public Policy and Administration and the League of Women Voters of Idaho, the debate will be moderated by emeritus Boise State professor Jim Weatherby.

The public will be invited to write questions for the candidates, which will be picked up by volunteers. The questions will be reviewed to eliminate duplications and forwarded to the moderator. Each candidate will have two minutes for an opening statement, one minute to respond to questions from the audience and two minutes for a closing statement.
