Five Things You Should Do This Weekend in Boise

When you aren’t playing Nintendo Tecmo Bowl in a futile attempt to analyze what the heck is wrong with Boise State’s offense …

1. ROCK YER FACE OFF
Brit Floyd isn’t a tribute band — OK, it IS a tribute band. But these guys take Pink Floyd worship to a whole new level. Plan on being blown away by the performance tonight at the Revolution Center.

Other weekend music highlights include Train tonight at Taco Bell Arena and guitar-playing freak Buckethead Saturday at the Knitting Factory. (Gotta love Buckethead.)

2. JOIN THE FITNESS CELEBRATION
Thousands of women stroll, walk and run the St. Luke’s Women’s Fitness Celebration each year. They’ll storm Downtown Boise and head for Ann Morrison Park once again during Saturday's 20th anniversary event. Details here.

3. CHECK OUT THE STAR PARTY
The Boise Astronomical Society is setting up the telescopes at Bogus Basin Saturday night. Whether you’re up for a nature walk or just feel like peering at celestial majesty, all it takes is a canned food donation to the Idaho Foodbank. Details here.

4. CELEBRATE OKTOBERFEST
Beer. Brats. Music. Oktoberfest celebrations are happening this weekend at Boise's Tres Bonne Cuisine and at Brewforia in Meridian and Eagle. Get the lowdown here.

5. GO SEE ‘LES MIZ’
Based on the sellouts through Saturday, Boise digs its "Les Miserables," which started its run here Wednesday. The Idaho Statesman’s reviewer? Ehhh, not so much. But you can still get tickets for Sunday’s performances at the Morrison Center.
