Idaho politics: Risch says Obama Mideast policy is 'in shambles'

Sen. Jim Risch took to the Senate floor today to rip President Obama's Mideast policy.

Said Risch, R-Idaho, a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, “This is a foreign policy that is in shambles. In the Middle East, it is a foreign policy of apology, it is a foreign policy of appeasement, it is a foreign policy of dithering and looking the other way. This cannot go on.”

Here's a link to Risch's floor speech. And here is the Risch news release:

U.S. Senator Jim Risch criticized the Obama Administration’s foreign policy today from the floor of the United States Senate, saying “this is a foreign policy that is in shambles.”

Senator Risch recently called on the administration to fully investigate the attacks on U.S. missions in the Middle East where four Americans were murdered, including U.S. Ambassador to Libya, Christopher Stevens.

In his floor remarks, Senator Risch said, “This is a foreign policy that is in shambles. In the Middle East, it is a foreign policy of apology, it is a foreign policy of appeasement, it is a foreign policy of dithering and looking the other way. This cannot go on.”

Senator Risch serves on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and is ranking member of the Subcommittee on Near Eastern and South and Central Asian Affairs, which oversees the Middle East.

Jim the Grandstander

From the senator who just voted no to veteran's benefits...

Is he a Republican or what?

I'm still mad at him for raising the sales tax and underfunding Idaho schools. Guess he can do less damage in Washington than here in Idaho!

Indeed, this cannot go on

because the gentleman from Idaho's time has expired.

Who is he?

This guy is a local (part of the 53%) stew bum just trying to make a name for himself...what the heck has he done for us in Idaho????
I would like to see what he could suggest in the extremely volatile Mid East?????

The same Lil' Jimmie Risch

that couldn't serve in Vietnam because of an ulcer. Now, an expert on foreign policy and military operations.

So, what EXACTLY would Risch do differently?

It's terribly easy to criticize from the sidelines. What exactly should we be doing differently?

Risch is full of it, the

Risch is full of it, the middle east areas are in civil war as people seek there freedom and democracy.

It not our nations job to sent out our father, sons, wives and daughters to war to fight a foreign nations civil war.

Maybe its time for Risch to come home to the land of tater and let someone else become the elected statesmen for Idaho in Washington DC.

Really think about it, what has Risch one of the wealthiest U.S.Senators done for Idaho and its people.........
