Fifteen Idaho baseball players selected for Team Mountain West

Fifteen Idaho baseball players — including eight from the Treasure Valley — were invited to play for Team Mountain West in their respective age divisions at the USA Baseball 2012 National Identification Series in Cary, N.C.

The 17-and-under and 16U teams play Aug. 23-26, while the 14U squad competes Sept. 6-9.

Thanks for the blog

Thanks for the blog recognizing the boys that made it. There were about 40 plus kids from Idaho invited to the NTIS last week in Salt Lake. That was huge, as there were two 14U teams comprised exclusively from Idaho players (one of Tresure Valley kids and one from Eastern Idaho). This was a first for Idaho. We also had a handful of boys invited to the USA Baseball Western Championships in Phoenix last month. Congrats to all the boys that got an invite and represented, but a huge congatulations to those that got the invite to Cary, NC!!! Also, Paul Cluff deserves a big thank you for finding all the talent in ID and securing the invites.
