A REAL backpack or an advertisement one?

You fry wants with that?

Twitter??? Do you have an actual link to their website?

This is just a blatant attempt to drive traffic through their stores and as such this article just helped them. Audrey, you've been snookered. Maybe you should be reporting on legitimate charities such as The Assistance League of Boise's Operation School Bell. If McDonald's were donating to that program it would be news, but a marketing program that benefits them is not news.

We cover nonprofits and charities...

...but not on this blog, which is focused on retail business like restaurants and shops (though I sometimes include charity-related shopping, like thrift stores).

Operation School Bell is absolutely something worthy of attention, and our nonprofits reporter Anna Webb has written about it. If you know of something new they're doing, please don't hesitate to contact me or even just post a comment here, and I can pass it on to Anna.
