One of the best pieces of first-aid equipment when camping with kids is simple antiseptic spray.
Most of the boo-boos are from scratches and scrapes and the spray does the trick fast and easy.
Put a Lightning McQueen Band-Aid on the scrape and all's well.
Small sprays are a few bucks at the drug store and worth having in your daypack along with the regular first-aid kit.
I almost used a whole spray bottle on a recent campout with the grandkids. There was lots of log walking and balance wasn't too good.
By the way, check out my story on great kids' campgrounds in Scene Magazine on Friday.
