Boise's longest-serving mayor will be remembered at a service in the Stueckle Sky Center, above the Bronco Stadium where he loved watching sports.
Eardley's son, Randy, announced the details Friday. Eardley died June 30 after a heart attack at age 83. His obituary will appear in Sunday's Statesman.
The celebration of Eardley's life will begin at 2 p.m. The public is invited. Eardley is a former newsman who served as mayor from 1974-1986. Among his jobs was radio play-by-play of high school sports and anchoring the sports segment on Boise's Channel 2.
