Photos: Boise Music Festival main stage area's "lush grass"

This weekend's third annual Boise Music Festival has been moved from Ann Morrison Park to Expo Idaho this year.

Consequently, some Idahoans think the massive, popular event is being held where Western Idaho Fair headliners normally perform — at the grandstands.

Nope.

The Boise Music Festival's main stage will be in the northwest section where the carnival is typically situated at the fair. Over toward Hawks Stadium.

"It's lush," says Kevin Godwin of organizer Peak Broadcasting. "It's really nice with as many trees or more trees than Ann Morrison had in that area."

Here are photos of the area — and a map of the festival.

relative

it is lush for this desert climate.

Chair, baybee!

I'm not standing all day anymore with diabetic nerve pain flaring in my right leg. Doesn't work anymore.

Tickets?

Do we really need tickets this year? What's an easy way to get them if we do need them? I just would like seeing l.l. Cool j for old times sake. 25 years ago, that was some of the first hip-hop I checked out when I was a kid. He probably won't play anything from those first couple albums, but oh well. Anyone else on the lineup worth checking out?

depends on any warrants

Crap, crap and more crap.

Crap, crap and more crap. The good folks of Boise show up in droves and we get American Idol rejects and has been, never were sh&t acts. Hey LL Fool Jay, live shows usually go alot better if you bother to have a drum kit on stage. Your effort was pathetic and lazy. For the love of God please stop performing now before you do anymore damage to the old school hip-hop!! Hey sponsors and BMF organizers, how bout for next year you get some acts that have actually had a hit or two in the last decade. BOO!! Hiss!! Boo!!

Dear Stupid

My sixth CD I'd ever owned was an LL Cool J album.

It was 1990, fool. Records called 'hip-hop' etc used synthesizers and sequencers and drum machines, or electronic trigger pads shaped like drums by the likes of Yamaha, Roland and Korg.

Let me ask you bluntly...I watched the news and all they showed were young trailer queens.

Did you have ANY fun at all?

Did you even go?

I suspected not, Russkie.
