The Boise State football team has added a linebacker and a wide receiver to its 2013 recruiting class, which now includes seven oral commitments.

Middle linebacker Tanner Vallejo (6-2, 220) of Nevada Union High in Grass Valley, Calif., chose the Broncos over three Pac-12 offers, he said. His offer list included Arizona, Colorado, Washington State, Fresno State, Nevada, UNLV, San Diego State, Eastern Washington and Colorado State, he said. He visited UCLA, Fresno State and Nevada.

He was in Boise last week and committed Sunday evening.

“I just felt like that was a perfect fit for me,” he said. “When I was there, I just knew that it didn’t get any better than that. I just felt like I could fit right in, but mainly the coaches.

“I’ve always been a fan of theirs, too. I just definitely want to play out there.”

Vallejo was the co-Defensive MVP of the Sierra Foothill League last season.

Also, wide receiver Chris Seisay of American Canyon (Calif.) High has committed to the Broncos, according to the Napa Valley Register. The newspaper cited Seisay’s coach as the source. I have not been able to reach him yet.

Seisay was a first-team All-Solano County Athletic Conference pick as a defensive back and second-team pick as a wide receiver last season. He caught 26 passes for 756 yards and nine touchdowns.

I’ll post more on Seisay when I’m able to reach him.

Here is the updated 2013 recruiting class:

— LB Joe Martarano, 6-3, 215, Fruitland HS
— TE Alec Dhaenens, 6-4, 235, Fruitland HS
— QB Ryan Finley, 6-4, 180, Paradise Valley HS (Phoenix)
— OL Eli McCullough, 6-5, 255, Rocky Mountain HS
— C Andrew Tercek, 6-3, 285, East Central HS (San Antonio, Texas)
— LB Tanner Vallejo, 6-2, 220, Nevada Union HS (Grass Valley, Calif.)
— WR Chris Seisay, 6-2, 175, American Canyon (Calif.) HS

Welcome to Bronco Country!

Boise State is a great fit for football players from northern California. It seems like these kids have figured out that playing in a winning system that will give you time to learn, grow, and mature as a player and a student, beats sitting behind some 5 star reucruit that runs a 4.3 sec 40 yard dash, but has no concept that football is a team sport.

The class of 2013 is shapping up nicely.

Welcome to Boise Gentlemen.

Always nice to have some new Broncos. Best of luck to both.

Its all about Quality

Measurables are just empty calories without quality athletes. The Boise State Coaches seek quality first and then coach to excel a players measurables. A hearty Welcome to all BSU commits, you are a special group of athletes, and we embrace your decision to make Boise State such a special place for Idaho's University System and Bronco Nation's community.

Seisay

Chadd, you said, "I’ll post more on Seisay when I’m able to reach him."

When you reach him Chadd, ask him if he is 100% committed or is he still not sure if he will entertain other campus visits. He said, he wasn't sure if he would or not? If the boy is 100% locked in he will not!

As for Tanner welcome aboard, you are for sure OKG. You might ask Pete if he wants you to be campus linebacker at BSU or just settle in?

Ha Ha!!
