KTVB-Channel 7's Mark Johnson spent a full day in the Capitol with GOP Sen. Jim Risch recently, preparing a program that will air at 9 a.m Sunday as a special edition of "Viewpoint."
A 5-minute version has already aired, and includes Risch telling Idaho constituents he can't support spending $1 billion on a lung cancer bill.
Risch, who repeats recent statements that he will seek reelection in 2014, also chats with Sens. Mike Crapo, R-Idaho, John McCain, R-Ariz., and Orrin Hatch, R-Utah.
Johnson's 30-minute show promises a "sunup to sundown" account of his day with Risch in Washington.

Isn't he always? ;-)

You fry wants with that?
Too bad they didn't film Mike Crapo.
I have had a handfull of meetings with him on a number of issues and have listened to him speak to a number of business groups. He has been giving the same speech, no matter what he is asked to speak about, since he got elected. I have heard nothing new from him in three years.
If they want to focus on our senator who actually has some power, knows how to work with both parties and truly involved in the budget discussions at a very high level, they should focus on Crapo.
I'll probably pass on this piece of Risch promotion. I've seen plenty of him already.
GAG! Watch your behind.
