Three Books and a Deserted Island

If you surf the web for any time you find all sorts of interesting ways to waste time. Surveys and questionnaires abound. and I’m going to use one of them myself to ask: If you were going to a deserted island and could only pack three books, which three would you take?

Here are mine:
The Bible – King James version because the words are beautiful even if sometimes mystifying
Gone with the Wind, by Margaret Mitchell – I loved it in the eighth grade, and it’s long -- an important consideration for a deserted island
Where the Sidewalk Ends by Shel Silverstein – maybe I’ll finally have time to finish memorizing Sick -- I’m up to “…my hip hurts when I move my chin.”
Okay, you’re up. Which three would you take?

I don't like islands.

It you go online and yell FAQ YOU TOO

You are cut off at the well son.

How can you possilby choose?

First being on a desert island.... fun with the sun and beach would be great, but, how could a book worm choose. To read the books over and over until they are dust. Hmmmmmm.....I would have to take the Outlander series by Dianna Gabaldon. That way I would have thousands of pages to read.

You cannot eat a book nor is it truly realistic you'll be there.

Asking an overburdened rhetorical question in place of...

What are the three most indispensable books you have known?

might also be hard because you might encounter religious books a lot when you wanted casual reading.

You fry wants with that?

I'm going to cheat a little here...

Okay, 1) Bible as well (NIV version)
2) Either Wanderlove by Kristen Hubbard or The Sky is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson
3) The Fever Series by Karen Marie Moning (<-- did ya see that? That's my cheat. :) A series in place of a single book. I'll duct tape them together to make it count as "one" book)

Three books taped together+two=possible drowning. Don't do it!
