Getting ready for the weekend

Image It's a weekend for surging rivers. Some of the predictions from the National Weather Service show the Main Payette River at about 13,000 cfs; the Lower Salmon at 58,000 cfs; Clearwater at about 72,000 cfs and the South Fork of the Payette River at about 6,500 cfs at Staircase Rapids. Wow!

So if you're going to float a river this weekend, you'd better have good big-water boating skills. See Idaho Outdoors' river report in the Idaho Statesman today.
