Districts 14, 20, 21 and 22: Meet the candidates at Meridian City Hall

Meridian City Hall hosts an open house for legislative candidates on April 26 and May 2.

Both events begin at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall, 33 E. Broadway Ave.

April 25: Districts 14 and 20

District 14 has two contested races in the May 15 Republican primary.

Republican candidates for District 14 Senate are Stan Bastian, Eagle; Gary Bauer, Star; and Rep. Marv Hagedorn, Meridian.

Republican candidates for District 14 House B are Rep. Reed DeMourdant, Eagle; and Michael Greenway, Eagle.

District 20 has two contested races in the May 15 Republican primary.

Republican candidates for District 20 House A are Richard Dees, Meridian; Chris MacCloud, Meridian; and Rep. Joe Palmer, Meridian.

Republican candidates for District 20 House B are James Holtzclaw, Meridian; Thomas LeClaire, Meridian; and Patrick Malloy, Meridian.

May 2: Districts 21 and 22

District 21 has two contested races in the May 15 Republican primary.

Republican candidates for District 21 House A are Steven C. Harris, Meridian; Parrish Miller, Boise; and Robert Simison, Boise.

Republican candidates for District 21 House B are Thomas Dayley, Boise; Charles Hoffman, Boise; Lori Shewmaker, Boise; and Mike Vuittonet, Meridian.

District 22 has one contested race in the May 15 Republican primary.

Republican candidates for District 22 House B are Michael Law, Kuna; Jason Monks, Meridian; Fred Tilman, Meridian; and Stephen Waren, Meridian.

Who are they? Where are they?
This is pretty uninformative and one sided. Why is that?

Democrats

I believe the Statesman is focusing on contested races for the primary. Right now I don't think any of the Democrats in these districts have an opponent in the primary.
