Five Things You Should Do This Weekend in Boise (and Nampa!)

1. RALLY YOUR APPETITE
Boise’s monthly Food Truck Rally got a wee bit crowded in March, but organizers should have a better handle on things Friday at the MK Nature Center. There’s also a second rally Saturday in Nampa’s Loyd’s Square. Expect nine trucks in Boise; four in Nampa. Burp.

2. SHOW YOUR BRONCO COLORS
The Boise State Broncos play their spring game at 5 p.m. Saturday ($7 entry). Make a day of it: There are oodles of other events. BroncoFest 2012 will feature a Beat Coach Pete Run/Walk, women’s tennis vs. Air Force, softball vs. UNLV, etc.

3. GO GOTH
It ain’t easy being goth. And what about being Italian goth? Suffering in the name of lasagna? Using a female/male vocal dynamic, Lacuna Coil has made it work to the tune of 2 million albums sold since the 1990s. Bang your head and shed a melodic tear Saturday at the Knitting Factory. Tickets here.

4. GRAB A LAUGH
If you still haven’t checked out Liquid Laughs, you’re depriving yourself of joy. OK, based on the video below, let's qualify that: Potentially depriving yourself. Comedian Scott White headlines through Sunday. Buy tickets here.

5. SKI … ONE LAST TIME
The season-ending party went down last weekend at Bogus Basin — see photo below — but the final “bonus weekend” is Saturday and Sunday. Lift tickets are discounted to $20. P.S. If you happen to be the whiner who sniveled on Twitter about my reality check regarding the “Get Louder for Powder” party in mid-January: Waaaaaaaaa! I’m just glad the snow gods finally smiled.

Lacuna Coil

Lacuna Coil will be a good show. Seen them many a time at the Knit!

Not much of a "bonus"

Chair 1 (and the bunny hill) is all that is open on the front side. That is not much of a bonus.
