Channel 6 sports director Amanda Maynard leaves station

Local-news viewers may have noticed changes behind the KIVI Channel 6 sports desk this week. Sports director Amanda Maynard, who joined the the ABC affiliate in 2010, has left the station. Maynard’s contract ended, according to station management, and she decided to explore other opportunities. Her video resume, below, was uploaded to YouTube a few weeks ago.

News anchor Don Nelson and reporter Tamara Jolee — who had an unusually brief stint as an anchor at KNIN Channel 9 — will fill in until a replacement is hired. Jolee already had been backing up Maynard as sports anchor.

The first manager of KIVI, Larry Chase came from KBOI (1974)

Dan Smede also moved from 2 or seven (can't remember which)

Wheel Of Fortune was first hosted by CHUCK WOOLERY.
