Boise State announced its football season-ticket packages Wednesday. I was out sick, so I’m catching up today.

Here’s a breakdown of the price increases. The Bronco Athletic Association membership prices remained the same.

Main core of the stadium: Tickets (six-game package) increased $16, or 4.4 percent.

Non-priority sections in southwest and southeast corners: Boise State combined these sections into one price category this year, so the increase is either $25 (8.5 percent) or $9 (2.9 percent) depending on what was paid last year.

South end zone: Tickets increased by $11 for adults (4.2 percent) and juniors (5.9 percent).

North end zone: Tickets increased by $8 for adults (3.8 percent) and $9 for juniors (6.2 percent).

Family plans: The four-ticket package increased by $26, or 3.5 percent.

The increase is significantly less than last year, when tickets went up about 5 percent and membership prices increased by $10 to $25.

Here are the full ticket descriptions from Boise State:

There are five different price categories for this year’s individual season tickets ranging, from $155 for a junior general admission ticket in the north end zone to $380 for an adult season ticket in the main core of Bronco Stadium.

Tickets in the main core of the stadium must also include the applicable Bronco Athletic Association membership, including $950 for Wrangler; $650 for Roughrider; $475 for Buckaroo; and $150 for Bronco.

In non-priority sections, ticket prices are $320 in the upper and lower decks of the southeast corner of the stadium, and the upper deck of the southwest corner. Non-priority reserved seats in the south end zone are $273 for adults and $199 for juniors, while non-priority general admission tickets in the north end zone are $220 for adults and $155 for juniors.

Boise State will once again have its popular Family Plan, which includes two adult and two junior tickets for the price of $766. These tickets are in the lower and upper sections of the southeast and southwest corners, and the south end zone. Additional junior tickets can be purchased for $78.

I'm a BSU graduate and fan of their football program...

...but f that...I'll watch 'em on TV as usual.

I'll not be able to watch them on TV as usual. TILT

If you want a good team...

...you have to be willing to pay for it.

You have to pay me to pay them.

Ditto

I quit buying season tickets a LONG time ago. Back when they basically DOUBLED the price from one year to the next.

Since that time the prices have tripled compared to what I used to pay for the Family Pack of 4 seats for 2 adults and 2 children (or 3 adults).

And Boise State continues to gouge their "customers" every single year with higher and higher prices. One has to wonder at what point the "suckers" will quit lining up to pay the ever increasing prices for Boise State events. But as long as the suckers keep paying one can't really blame Boise State.

BSU Football Family plan - $766.00

Experiencing Boise State football with your family ... priceless!

Was that Football Fantasy plan?

$766...big deal

You think THAT'S expensive? Six games for $766 for four people? Try Disneyland; ONE day, four people, $240. Roaring Springs; ONE day, four people, $112. Just to go eat at Appleby's six times would cost a family of four $360 or more (not counting the Tums you'll have to buy). It seems to me that Boise State Football has delivered an increasingly excellent product (a product that every fan seems to demand), yet you want to continue to pay junior college prices. You need to do a reality check; it's 2012.

Why the CRAP would I do any of that? Am I brain injured?

Are you kidding?

I'm a long time season ticket holder and have watch the season ticket prices rise moderately over the years as our team has risen in to a perpetual top 10 team. The cost of big time football is great and and I for one don't feel like a sucker at all for the money spent to watch the boys play on the blue.

ROI

I agree - consider it a return on investment. Look at this comparison between Boise State and San Jose State Football.

BSU 13-1 (@home 5-1), Family Plan $776
SJSU 5-7 (@home 2-3), Family 4 Pack $250

BSU cost per seat, per home win - $38.80
SJSU cost per seat, per home win - $31.25

Remember, 2011 was an up year for the Spartans. What kind of football team are you willing to watch?

One on my regular TV

Nyssa vs. Vale...highlights at 11.

OK?

If they played today I'D RIDE MY BIKE

Big time football??? You've

Big time football??? You've GOT to be kidding! Boise State is NO where close to being considered big time football. You guys are still considered a community college by the real football schools.

I guess that means the community college lucked out against...

Sooners, Oregon (twice), VT, Georgia, .... Who knew?

Nice try...

Go troll somewhere else.

You are welcome to join them?

non-revenue sports

If BSU would control the spending on the non-revenue sports this would help immensely. Football is carrying the tab for the majority of the other sports, yet the Athletic Dept continues to allow them to go over their budgets multiple times over, year after year. Coaches should be held accountable for their programs.

Big time football?

Boise State won more games in the 2000's than ANY other college football programs. We have finished in the top 11 four strait years, not to mention top 25 9 of the last 11 years. 10 plus guys in nfl camps this year, if thats not big time football I don't know what is. I am aware we don't play a BCS schedule but when we get a shot we beat them. Hate all you want, we are here to stay

Pretty cheap tickets really....

BSU needs more revenue to pay for stadium....

People need to look at stubhub to see prices of the big-time cfb....

No. not online, from eBay...

Time to sack up ...

and pay the price to see another round of cupcakes playing at Cupcake State! Sounds like many of the lowlife bandwagon Cupcake State fans can't afford the price increase and their Keystone Light at the same time. Time for Cupcake State alums and bandwagoners to hit some OT at the old Circle K or long haul carriers to stay in the game.

Dear Stupid

Most or all Circle K stores were sold or liquidated in this region years ago.

Many were sold to Jackson's.

Therefore I pre-empt any claim of food stamps abused you would make.

WIKI IT
