Five Things You Should Do This Weekend in Boise

1. STUFF YOUR FACE
My stomach’s been growling all freakin’ week. It wasn’t easy putting together the Scene cover story with mouth-watering recommendations for tonight’s Food Truck Rally. The mobile food fiesta runs from 5 to 9 p.m. Show up early. Something tells me it will be slammed.

2. SUPPORT THE KIDS
Grace meets power! Contemporary, youth-focused Balance Dance Co. is joining forces with Boise Rock School for “Band of Balance” tonight and Saturday. There are three shows, including an afternoon matinee Saturday.

3. GET HIGH
You know — ”Rocky Mountain High.” Colorado-based John Denver tribute act the John Adams Band will roll through all of the '70s icon’s hits Saturday at the Kuna Performing Arts Center.

4. GO COUNTRY
Blake Shelton headlines Taco Bell Arena on Saturday night. He’s not just a coach on reality show ”The Voice.” He’s had lots of country hits such as ”God Gave Me You” and ”Who are You When I’m not Looking.” Get tickets here.

5. SLAP A KNEE
Liquid Laughs offers touring comedians every week, but this time it’s someone you may have seen on TV: Marcus from ”Last Comic Standing.” Shows are tonight, Saturday and Sunday. Get tickets here.

You forgot the best!

This weekend is the Boise Roadster Show, a great event for all car guys and gals and anyone who loves beautiful automobiles. And next weekend is the Idaho vintage motorcycle show at the O'Connor field house in Caldwell which has many great old motorcycles. Bicycles too!

I haven't been able to go for over thirty years...

I asked my dad if we could go four years ago but it never happened, now he's dead. My mom doesn't care about radios or driving to see other people's vehicles, it takes away from doctor visits and food.

I know it will be awesome.

Hey Tim

Are you entering your car?

No, not this year.

Once was enough - it takes many hours to clean for a show.

I hope you're talking about your car

(insert rim shot)

HEHEHE AAA NIIII MAL! AAA NIIII MAL!

Fozzie, please go find Mr. Cooper, he's on next!

...is exploding a volcanoe at 11, 12 and 1 p.m. tomorrow. Plus crafts and other great activities. Shuold be cool (and safe)!

Lava time

I may have to take my 3-year-old to this. He's all about volcanoes at the moment.
