Ron Paul's stop in Elko draws Idahoans to hear his liberty message

About 400 people attended the GOP presidential candidate's visit to Elko Thursday, in advance of Saturday's Nevada caucus.

A story in Friday's Twin Falls Times-News included Ken Watson of Caldwell, who said he first saw Paul in 1988 when he was the Libertarian nominee for president.

Nevada and Idaho were among Paul's best states in 2008. He defeated front-runner Mitt Romney last month in a pay-to-play straw poll sponsored by the Idaho Republican Party. Idaho's first-ever GOP presidential caucus is March 6.
