Local CD feeds 54,000 needy Idahoans

Local music matters. Need proof? Look no further than Moxie Java’s annual IdaHo-Ho-Ho" compilation CD.

In its second year, the series — which featured Idaho acts ranging from folk singer Rosalie Sorrels to country-rockers Reckless Kelly this time — sold more than 1,900 copies and generated $18,261.48 for the Idaho Foodbank.

That was enough money to provide approximately 54,000 meals for needy Idahoans. It’s also nearly triple what Moxie Java was able to donate last time.

Still don’t own a copy? You can get the 2011 edition at the Record Exchange or moxiejava.com. Also, both the 2010 and 2011 compilations will be readily available in November when the third CD is released.
