BOYS BASKETBALL

Tyler Dubowsky, Kuna: The senior forward led the Kavemen (8-6, 7-3 4A SIC) to two wins last week. On Jan. 19 in a 67-44 victory against Skyview, Dubowsky went 9-for-9 from the field and 3-for-3 from 3-point range for 21 points in just 13 minutes, 15 seconds of play. He added 15 points, 11 rebounds, two blocked shots and one steal in about 18 minutes of play in a 52-46 win over Columbia. For the week, Dubowsky shot 75 percent from the field.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Maddi Osburn, Vallivue: The sophomore guard scored a game-high 22 points for the Falcons (11-7, 9-7 5A SIC) in a 65-58 upset of No. 2 Capital last week to complete a season sweep of the Eagles. Osburn was 7-for-12 (58 percent) from the field and 3-for-3 from 3-point range while also contributing five assists, two rebounds, two steals and one blocked shot in Vallivue's only game last week.

WRESTLING

Hunter Temple, Mountain View: The junior earned a big victory last weekend at the 37-team Tiger-Grizz Wrestling Tournament at Skyline High in Idaho Falls. Temple won the 126-pound weight class, winning five matches — two by pin and three by decision — on his way to the championship. Temple, who was seeded fifth, defeated top-seeded Kam Reddish of Columbia 14-7 in the semifinals, then added a 4-3 decision in the championship match over third-seeded Tyler Jaramillo of Kuna.
