Joey Nebeker, Melba: The 6-foot-6 Boise State recruit had a big week for the Mustangs (12-1, 5-0 2A WIC). In a 70-50 victory over defending 3A state champion Fruitland on Jan. 12, Nebeker posted 27 points, 10 rebounds, five steals, five blocked shots and four assists. Nebeker then added 28 points, four blocked shots, four rebounds, three steals and two assists in little more than two quarters of play in a 70-42 win over Nampa Christian on Jan. 14.

Madison Johnson, Greenleaf Friends: The junior point guard posted a pair of double-doubles as the Grizzlies (7-6, 3-3 1A WIC) split a pair of games last week. On Jan. 10, the 5-foot-10 Johnson shot 78 percent from the field in a 56-46 win over Idaho City, finishing with 34 points, 18 rebounds, four assists and two steals. In a tough 51-15 loss to Notus in which she was double- and triple-teamed, Johnson still produced nearly all of the Grizzlies' points, tallying 11 points, 10 rebounds, two steals and one assist.

Austin Dewey, Centennial: The senior came away with his first tournament victory of the season at the 63-team Rumble over the weekend in Orem, Utah. Dewey — who had four pins and a pair of decisions — improved to 27-3 on his way to a win in the 160-pound weight class. In the semifinals, Dewey defeated top-seeded Dylan Miller (Deer Park, Wash.) 8-6. He then topped Dane Nielson (Delta, Utah), 7-3 in the title match, helping the Patriots finish fourth as a team with 203 points.
