Boise State tailback Doug Martin has received an invitation to the NFL Scouting Combine, his mother said Friday.

Martin also has signed with Irvine, Calif.-based Athletes First, the same agency as quarterback Kellen Moore (and former Boise State defensive coordinator Justin Wilcox and wide receiver Austin Pettis).

Wide receiver Tyler Shoemaker has accepted an invitation from the East-West Shrine game. He has not received a combine invite.

Here’s a look at the all-star and combine invites I have confirmed so far. I expect to have more later today:

Senior Bowl, Mobile, Ala. (2 p.m. Jan. 28, NFL Network) — Quarterback Kellen Moore, tailback Doug Martin, safety George Iloka, defensive tackle Billy Winn

East-West Shrine Game, St. Petersburg, Fla. (2 p.m. Jan. 21, NFL Network) — Wide receiver Tyler Shoemaker and defensive end Shea McClellin, who hasn’t accepted yet because he’s hoping for a Senior Bowl invite.

Casino del Sol College All-Star Game, Tucson, Ariz. (Jan. 16) — Linebacker Aaron Tevis

NFL Scouting Combine, Indianapolis (Feb. 22-28) — Moore, Martin, Iloka, McClellin, Winn and offensive tackle Nate Potter

Other NFL prospects, not named above: Defensive end Tyrone Crawford, wide receiver Tyler Shoemaker, defensive tackle Chase Baker, tight end Kyle Efaw, linebacker Byron Hout, safety Cedric Febis, defensive end Jarrell Root

Notable: Seven of the 14 prospects played high school football in Idaho, including two going to the combine (Potter of Timberline and McClellin of Marsing). … Five of the 14 are defensive linemen and nine of the 11 started together on defense when McClellin lined up at nickel.

will blow up the combine.......

His numbers in Boise State's testing last spring were fantastic.

Just like he blew up Arizona State!

100% Agree

Martin is probably the most underrated running back in college. It wouldn't surprise me to see him go early in the draft & put up Ray Rice type numbers in the NFL.

Winn had a tough year but do expect big things from him as well. Go Broncs!

D. Martin is D real deal

I had the occasion to visit with Doug a couple of time his senior year...what a class individual all the way. Watching a few NFL team this season I can see him fitting into lots of organizations, if given a chance. He may not be a monster size, but there are several RBs having great success right now that are not huge. He would look awesome in a Packers uniform:)

Enjoy the Ride...there is no return ticket.

28 reps on the bench would have put him in the top-15 at last years combine for......Offensive Linemen.

Here's is ESPN's position rank

for the draft

Moore = 8th
Martin = 7th
Iloka = 6th
Efaw = 13th
Potter = 7th
Winn = 10th
McClellin = 16th
Crawford = 20th
Baker = 45th
Hout = 35th
Febis = 71st
Tevis = 60th
Shoe = 82nd

Interesting side note:

Dan Paul would have been the 12th rated FB if he wasn't coming back.
