Brandon Luedtke, Mountain View: The defending state champions earned a pair of big wins last week to remain unbeaten at 4-0 and 2-0 in the 5A Southern Idaho Conference. On Dec. 9, Luedtke contributed 12 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 1 blocked shot in a 52-51 victory against Borah. Luedtke added 26 points, 10 rebounds, 9 blocks, 2 assists and 1 steal in a 71-64 win against Timberline on Dec. 10. The 6-foot-4 senior post played a combined 63 of 64 minutes in the two games.


Liz Landreth, Capital: The Eagles went 1-1 last week, but the junior stood out with a pair of strong performances. On Dec. 6, Landreth had 23 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals in a 64-32 win against Borah. In a 56-53 loss to Vallivue, Landreth brought the Eagles back from a 16-2 deficit in the first quarter, finishing with 27 points, 7 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 assists. Capital is now 7-2 overall and 5-2 in the 5A Southern Idaho Conference.


Tristian Jarboe, Columbia: The sophomore went 6-0 last week to help the Wildcats claim the Buck's Bags team championship in the opening week of the wrestling season. Jarboe, who won a 4A state title at 130 pounds last season, had two pins and four decisions in the 138-pound weight class.
