Pregame notes

• Cory Yriarte will start at center for Boise State. Wide receiver Chris Potter and center Thomas Byrd are dressed. Fullback Dan Paul will not play for the Broncos.

• Former Bronco Brandyn Thompson is at the game. Thompson is on the Washington Redskins' practice squad. Washington has a bye this week.

• Boise State is wearing white pants, white jerseys and blue helmets with the single horsehead.

• Fresno State has a new $1.2 million artificial turf. Former Bulldog offensive lineman Logan Mankins made a large donation for the project and it says "Mankins Family" on the field.

• It is a sad crowd here at Bulldog Stadium just moments before kickoff.

Coach should let Southwick play in

3rd quarter....dont want a James happenings to Moore....

Fresno looks tight....

you must be the coaches wife or something?

hmmm

Carr

That Carr is really terrible. Night and Day against Moore.

Dear Coach Petersen...

How about a challenge?

If a BSU player loses their helmet more than once a game, you take a 5 yard penalty...after 5 helmets fly off, take off a touchdown.

It should be about safety as much as playing.

Dear Rather Uninformed:

If they always stayed on more head and neck injuries would result.

On top of that you'd penalize players for equipment function beyond their control.

God, you're witless.

Straight Dumb

Yes, dumbest comment...might be ever. Good job.

That would be neat!

We could change the name of the game to 'rip the other guy's helmet off'.

Helmets

If you notice all the schools are wearing these new helmets and that they tend to come off easier. ie: Georgia players loosing their's. In a recent USA Today article this issue was raised as its happening nation wide and its being looked into.

There's a kicker

back in Michigan that's a senior. Wears panties, is the homecoming queen, and kicks field goals from 30+ yards. Extra points come easy for her too. Sometimes the right guy for the job is a gal. Maybe we should do some recruiting. Just a thought. Sunny...

Would she require a seperate locker room Milt?

security

Who is the white haired security guy around coach

Ho ho it's Santa and he left his bag of tricks

You think anyone would know his name?

FSU was pownd

BSU proved they are at top 5 team with that performance. Love the defense.

I went fishing

in a pownd once...Only caught a dog... ;)

It was worth a lick too.

OMG! Why is BSU even

OMG! Why is BSU even ranked?? What an embarassment to college football. Why don't you play some more Big Sky caliber teams to try and really look worse...if at all possible? BSU is pathetic and should not be in the top 50. Guarantee what little repect you had nationwide is gone!

lamesched....

I feel your pain....

Boise is very good....that part really is non-debatable....however that is the problem too....Boise is very good and is playing pretty much a schedule that does not show their true talents....

It is like Boise being a great runner, races against mostly moderate runners....

In 2012 and further, Boise really needs to step it up and play 3-4 BCS teams each season....I agree now with BDuck2009 on this one....this will happen if Boise gets to a BCS conference invite....hopefully they do....

No, 12 years of BYU does not count....why not just get 12 years of Iowa State....or Oregon State....

Boise is very good and it is time to go to the Olympics....not just the prelims....

Good job Broncos....

Go to bed

ugly-ugly, you're making a fool of yourself again....

go on run along.....

BSU4342....

What I meant on Olympics is that Boise is very good....good at going to top....it is time other top teams play Boise....

For 2012, it is Michigan State and BYU....not bad

Good job Broncos....

Congratulations!

You have been 100% consistently stupid in your ignorant comments.

BTW

We don't much care about repect. Vandull educated?

Vandal Troll

Have fun losing your homecoming game today.

Battle of the Ranked Teams

The 114th ranked vanduls vs the 108th ranked LaTec. Wow, this is a barn burner.

2nd Quarter vanduls 5, LaTec 10.....exciting.

I was surprised to learn that the vanduls still played football. Got to support them.... Go van Duls! Duls! Duls!

i thought you were kidding

until i checked the score. 10-5 classic.

4th Quarter Excitment - It Just Gets Better and Better

Start of the 4th quarter at the vanduls homecoming game it is 24 to 5. The 5 is the vanduls. I am on the edge of my seat watching this one.

Is The 5

points or attendance?

Attendance

It was attendance, they gave out free tickets and found 5 takers.

Easy Answer

It is because people who know something about football (you don't fit in this catagory) have ranked us there.

Maybe you should buy some Orange and Blue and support a real football team, the Top Ranked Boise State Broncos. We could teach you what real football is all about.

lame

get a life or better yet, a job.....

It must really suck to be you.

Mr. Lame: You may need help.

It's clearly apparent that you don't know the real gist of how college football works. You post snide, rude, and baseless of fact comments constantly. They don't make any sense in the grand scheme of schedules, conferences, NCAA business, negotiations, money, availability, TV, fairness, etc.

I'm not trying to be rude but, were you abused or hurt as a child? You're just completely negative, all the time. Do you have friends? A job? Hope? Why always angry and hateful. You're always here posting, but for what reason? To be mean spirited and vengeful? But why?

There's a book that's one of the greatest books ever written called, The Power of Positive Thinking by Norman Vincent Peale. A terrific blessing of a book. I hope someday it finds it's way into your hands.

How LAME can you get.

how lame can you be, sometimes I think your also wisebutt out there. But really, you know how STUPID you look out there. What you need to do is go get a life, take your wife out to the goodwell store or something and then a little dinner afters at jack in the box, she just might be nice to you.

Who the crap is caring, anyway?

Not sure what to think of this

Defense has given up 30 total points in the first 3 quarters year, 44 in the 4th quarter.

They've only given up 16 first half points all year (none in the last 3 games)

Let Down

Petes touched on it 2 weeks ago. D must play hard for 4 full quarters. It was better last night..and as you know...the D pitched a shut out. Thought it was our best effort of the year, bell to bell, intensity wise.

Great pic

great pic

nothing like waiting until the last possible moment.

Coach Drive Killer called a great game...back to Coach Pease now

Solid win.

Hate to say it but I think Southwick is a complete recruit bust and hope that we stop wasting game snaps on bim. That being said, I'd like to see the coaches go ahead and name Grant Hedrick as the #2 QB and start grooming him as the heir apparent to Kellen Moore. I was watching Nebraska's Taylor Martinez yesterday and couldn't help but notice the similarities between he and Hedrick. I really do think Hedrick is going to be an amazing QB

I argree

I think it's time

who would you say, at this point, is Kellen's "go to" guy?

Seems that everyone has droppd a ball or two, but I was thinking about that this morning and I'd have to say Miller. He's really impressed me so far.
That being said, Burroughs and Shoemaker have both stepped it up a notch and have surprised me as well.
Boldevijn lookd great, hated to see him drop that TD, but he more than made up for it. I think he's going to exceed expectations and provide Kellen with the deep ball

Would agree again

I see boldevijn making a difference.
